Hello everyone, today allow me to share this dish that can be done with less than 10 minutes and with only 4 ingredients.
Sayote are one of the common vegetables around. It is usually cooked with chicken meat in Tinola. But today I am gonna make it as viand and it's kinda vegetarian I guess since I will not include any meat except for this tiny dried shrimp.
I just took 2 pieces of medium size sayote and slice it into small parts. I washed it, drain and set aside. After that I crushed 2 cloves of garlic, 1 tomato and saute it in 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
I add this tiny dried shrimp add some salt and stir for awhile until sayote released it's own moisture. Then I add 1 cup of water and additional salt to taste.
I covered it and allowed it to be tender but not overcooked. They say that it is important not to overcooked vegetables because it will take out the nutrients of it.
I imediately serve it while still warm and served it with rice. Truly sometimes eating healthy foods would not cost you that much but we'd still need meat like fish and chicken takem with fruits to ensure that we had a balance diet.
