Arbi, that's his nickname. He is my nephew. Completing his studies at the Faculty of Agriculture, Unsiyah, majoring in Agrotechnology, graduated S1 several years ago. A person who is reluctant to become a civil servant. He doesn't like being ordered to, wants to be independent, he said.
Armed with the knowledge gained from his lectures, he was determined to pursue agriculture in the field of horticulture. He uses his land of about 2 ha to grow various types of vegetables, namely cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and many other variants.
The land, which is cultivated as his agricultural land, is located in the Blang Gele area, approximately 8 km west of the city of Takengon, Aceh. The soil has a promising texture and structure. No need for fertilizer, because the soil is still virgin.
The land area of approximately 2 ha was only worked on by him with the help of Cultivatur machines for land processing.
The farm is also equipped with a seedling tool.
The method of planting is not carried out simultaneously, but is carried out in stages, this is to anticipate the excess number of goods in the market which can result in lower prices. Besides that, it is also to maintain the continuity of production so that at any time it is ready to serve orders.
Product sales are not only done manually, but also using online technology.
Armed with the knowledge possessed, planting vegetables does not choose time. There is no problem from September to December, which is the rainy season, or from July to August the dry season.
The role of technology has been played, it turns out to be effective and efficient. A little effort expended yields multiple benefits. Thanks to science and technology support, easy work, and abundant results.
Hopefully my presentation this time is still useful for all of you. Healthy greetings.
