Hello beautiful foodies! Today I made a sweet aval. It is a healthy snack that is made with flattened rice flakes and jaggery there are many ways to cook flattened riceflakes. Today I am going to share my favourite version to cook riceflakes.
Let's get started.
Ingredients:
Riceflakes 1 cup
Jaggery 1/2 cup
Shredded Coconut 1/2 cup
Black seed 1tspn
Dried grapes a 2 tspn
Ghee 2tspn
Cardamom powder a pinch
Ginger powder a pinch
Banana
Methods
Prepare all necessary ingredients,
Shred jaggery into a cheese shredder
Roast riceflakes for 5 Min or till crispy, put in a low fire
In the same pan heat ghee, fry black seeds for 30 seconds. Set aside.
Fry dried grapes in the same pan for 30 seconds. Set aside.
In the same pan, add in shredded jaggery, and 1/2 cup of water. melt jaggery till thread- like consistency.
When you touch it with fingers, it would form a thread-like., That indicates it's done.

Add in coconut to jaggery , continue mixing. Cook more for 3 minutes.
Add in cardamon powder and ginger powder.
Continue mixing.
Add in roasted crispy riceflakes, continue mixing. The mixture should coat all the riceflakes
Add in black seed & dried grapes.continue mixing
Best accompanied with banana.
The riceflakes are so crispy and sweet. delicious healthy snack for children.
