Anyone would think and love to eat when we were at home. We always think of something to enjoy our day. Others would watch television and have their sumptuous snacks and others would prefer to go to some places where some best-known foods and snacks satisfied their cravings.
Anyways, I would like to extend my warmest "Hello" to one and all, especially to this wonderful community. Hoping everybody is safe and well always.
My kids asked me to cook their favorite snacks. It is always a pleasure and my favorite part when they asked me to cook for the. I feel my cook is special😊.
It was perfect timing when my hubby arrived home and brought a bunch of bananas from the farmland. What a blessing!
He told me that Papa harvested bananas from the farm and he told me that these were sweet bananas because started to turn ripe in the banana tree.
Caramelized Banana
It has a minimal ingredient but has a maximum flavor!
The Ingredients
Banana - you can use ripe or over-ripe bananas
Sugar - this will create crunchiness and the caramel coating. Here, I used light brown sugar.
Cooking Oil and water
The Procedures
Step 1. Get all the ripe bananas from the bunch and put them in one container.
Step 2. Peel off the banana skin and put the skinless banana on one clean plate.
Step 3. Get the frying pan and set it on medium heat. Add cooking oil and start to fry the banana.
Step 4. Let the first side cook and turn it back when it turns golden brown.
Step 5. When all the bananas were fried already. Let's proceed to the caramel part.
Step 6. Since there is oil left in the frying pan, add 1/4 cup of sugar and a small amount of water. Stir and mixed.
Step 7. When it started to caramelize, add the fried banana and mix them all.
Step 8. Put it on a plate and serve.
Caramelized bananas were the best and their crunchiness remains when it is served hot and newly cooked.
The Homemade Halo-Halo
This halo-halo also has minimal ingredients. I only use the following:
Gulaman ( jelly powder mix)
4pcs of bananas
1pc ripe mango
1 can condensed milk
The Procedures
Step 1. Cook the jelly powder mix. Put 2 to 3 cups of water in a casserole and add the jelly powder and stir.
Step 2. To avoid lumping or stickiness just continue to stir until it is cooked. When it's cooked already, set it aside and let it cool.
Step 3. Slice the banana and the mango into your desired sizes and mix them afterward.
Step 4. Get the cooked jelly and slice it and mixed it with all the ingredients.
Step 5. Add the condensed milk and mix thoroughly.
Step 6. Let it freeze. Halo-halo will taste great when serve in cool.
Step 7. Serve it and Enjoy!
My kids enjoyed their favorite snacks and desserts and I am happy watching them.
That's all for now friends. Hope this inspired you to cook and prepare snacks and desserts for your family and friends. See you on my next blog. God bless
