Yesterday evening we went for a walk in the park. After wandering around the park for a while we came outside the park to eat because there are various food shops outside the park. After leaving the park, we saw a rice cake's shop. And we enthusiastically went to that shop.
The shop is located in front of the park. Many people visit here every day. So people can easily notice their shop in front of the main gate of the park and come forward to eat this cake.
When I was at home, my mother used to cook rice cakes for me. I am now away from my family for my studies. So after a long time, eating such a cake reminded me of the old day.
Ingredients :
Very few ingredients are used to make this cake. Such as -
*Rice powder
*Jaggery
*Sugar
Also they use clay ovens for cooking, so normally the cost of cooking is very small.
How they were making cake:
They were using dry wood to light their clay ovens. And using a rice cake's pan to give the cake its shape. They were mixing rice powder with water and making it sticky. The cake was ready within 5 minutes of putting the rice powder in the oven, so the cooking is completed in a short time.
Taste :
Its taste is really appealing to us. Especially if cake is smeared with jaggery, the taste increases manifold. Apart from jaggery, they also wanted to give mustard to eat, but it was not taken. Jaggery felt better at that moment. To be honest, we were hungry at that time, so after seeing the pita, we quickly came forward and ordered it.
Talking to the shopkeeper, I came to know that they earn good income from here.Half of their selling price is production cost and the other half is profit.They earn their livelihood by selling cakes.
