This is probably one of the most creative and fun way of serving food as well eat as eating it. Maybe that's why some of the people love fusion food. It's pretty much like that but it's kind of blew my mind as I've never actually seen something like this in Thailand or elsewhere. I love it even more when they combine both of the things I love from the waist and the east. Noodle soup and smoked meat. Please confess that your mind is now being blown as well. #LOL .
Smoke me!
yup that's the name of the place.
The east
This place is in Bangkok. But not actually in the city city but more like outskirts. The set up is really simple the first thing you see is a big pile (that's a lie, it's not that big) of all of this wood flavors that they used to smoke the meat. From Hickory, Mesquite, apple wood, -- who am I kidding I'm not that pro of smoked meat either so I just read it off the photos I took haha. Anyways, that playoff would just make me feel good walking in to the place.
The west
A lot of you probably know that in Asia, Asian people not just only love rice but we love noodle (I'm trying not to generalize things here, I just hope this is true for all). We got rice noodle, glass noodle, egg noodles, wheat noodles, and etc. you name it. Here at this place, they do exactly just that, rice and noodle. As a bonus, there are wontons too!
Since there are so much to choose from we order that one big platter with all meats combined, ribs, ham, ducks, and Asian style crispy pork on in one platter. Then we add one rice dish and one noodle dish, which served with soup so that we can try every thing they have to offer. All the meats are real good. The aroma is just the right amount of smokiness and the texture and flavors are just on point. When eating together with rice and the egg noodles, it's a great combination. It's not actually Asian but more like, Chinese meets East, even. All these rice and noodle dishes are mostly Chinese cuisine influent.
Love the price as well. What we have there in total is $15 roughly. We're super stuffed! and happy! Happy tummies, happy us.
Totally go try if you're in Bangkok. I think it's one of a kind.
