One day, a famous Sultan ordered to bring the most pleasant smell thing in the world. Ministers brought everything from sandalwood to the most beautiful flowers to the palace. However, the emperor was not comforted. Ministers didn't know what to do, so they asked one of the most clever poet for help. "Take a basket of freshly baked bread to the sultan," the poet said. Indeed, the king admitted that the most pleasant smell in the world is the smell of freshly baked bread.
...Our people have always respected bread. Before they used to put freshly baked bread on the chest of a woman who had just given birth. Why? Maybe they do this so that the smell of bread mixed with the mother's milk will enter the body of the child who has just arrived in the bright world. They put a piece of bread under the pillow if the baby does not sleep well at night.
Today I want to show you how I cook this delicious bread. Everyone cooks it in different ways and in all versions, it's very tasty. First of all, sift the flour into a large bowl and add salt and yeast.
I usually don't know exactly how many ingredients to add. I feel with my hands how much is needed)) Then add some oil, and warm water and make a soft dough.
The dough must be well processed. When I made dough for the first time, my mother taught me that the more you work with the dough, the more beautiful bread it will be.
Then you need to close the dough. When it rises two times it means that the dough is ready. We divide the dough into several pieces.
Usually, I cut it into 14 pieces. 14 loaves of bread will be enough for our family for a week. The dough, divided into pieces, is left to rest for a few more minutes. Uzbek bread is baked in the form of circular flat loaves with a thin decorated crispy center and puffy edges.
In our country bread is baked in a clay oven called a tandoor. In tandoor, you can cook 7 loaves of bread at once.
In 15 20 minutes, you can take bread one by one looking at which one is cooked.
Traditionally Uzbek bread is never cut with a knife. At the start of the meal, it is broken into pieces by hand and placed on the table near each place setting.
