They're Terrible!
She walks through the dining area and says—
“They're terrible! Just terrible!”
“Who?” I ask.
“Those young women at work.” She replies.
“Why?” I ask.
“You should hear them in the bathroom!”
“Putting on their make up and talking about married men.”
“What about them?” I ask.
“They're plotting to take them away from their wives!”
“It's like a sport to those young women!” She says.
“They're terrible!”
Then she says, “Men are weak.”
Meaning, the husbands will fall for the come on and cheat on their wives.
When my girlfriend broke up with me I took off the ring she'd given me.
I'd worn it on my wedding finger.
A co-worker, a woman at a desk next to mine, said—
“You should put your ring back on. You'll meet more women that way.”
Then she chuckled.
Every time I hear women criticize men for duplicity I think of these remarks.
Remarks from women about women.
I know they know it.
Now they know I know it.
And now I know they know that I know they know.
