I will keep your heart forever
I find it bizarre that models ask or want to work with you and then never repost your images on Social Media. I just don't get it. The only thing I can think of is that they don't actually like your work. But then, why work with you in the first place. Seems a total waste of everyone's time. Four models that I like a lot do this with such regularity that it makes me wonder what it is about my work they don't like.
Out of the darkness
Ash is an alternative model that I have worked with a few times. She has got a very distinctive look and photographs well. She is also a very creative person. Her artwork is fabulous and she carries this over in to her job, as a tattooist (and tattoo studio owner).
My favourite stairs
Ash was a little uncertain about shooting on this stair case. But I like stairs/steps in my images (don't ask why, I don't know - it just works for me). And these stairs at Room 3 Studio in Grimsby are perhaps my favourite. The light in this area of the building can be glorious at the right time of day, with the sun streaming in through the window on the first landing.

Ash had an idea she wanted to create during this shoot, but sadly the items she ordered didn't come in time so we ended up "winging" it. I was relatively happy with the outcome, And got a moderate reception on Social Media but didn't bother with any more postings.
I give you my heart
I've come back to these after a few months and, if I am honest, I quite like them, no matter what the model or other people think. People always say "you should shoot for yourself" which, yes I do, but you also need to shoot for the model too. Especially if it is a paid gig or a TFP (time for print) shoot. Surely both parties need to be happy?
