On the occasion of my graduation as an actress I was reflecting on who we are as artists.
Mucho se dice sobre los artistas, que somos personas aligeradas, sensibles, diferentes, observadoras, y algunas otras veces dicen que somos petulantes, engreídos, narcisistas, y muy egocéntricos.
Much is said about artists, that we are light-hearted, sensitive, different, observant people, and sometimes it is said that we are petulant, conceited, narcissistic, and very egocentric.
He llegado a concluir que somos un poco de todo, como cualquier persona, sin embargo algo si funciona diferente en las mentes creadoras, somos sensibles, los grandes artistas tienen un pensamiento crítico que va más allá de parecer el mejor, defiende sus ideales, ve arte en todo lo que observa.
I have come to conclude that we are a little bit of everything, like any person, however something works differently in creative minds, we are sensitive, great artists have a critical thinking that goes beyond looking the best, defends their ideals, sees art in everything they observe.

Artists seek to capture their essence, their ideals, their thoughts, their personality wherever they can. We are not elevated beings, although before it was believed that art was only for the elite, now art is for the enjoyment of all and now it seems to be a little forgotten.
De arte estamos hechos todos, no son seres supremos, todos nacemos con cualidades y virtudes, con una creatividad excepcional, dicen que los niños son los grandes artistas porque siempre se están imaginando mundos increíbles lo único es que cuando crecemos nos olvidamos como hacerlo y solo son unos pocos que siguen ese camino.
We are all made of art, they are not supreme beings, we are all born with qualities and virtues, with exceptional creativity, they say that children are the great artists because they are always imagining incredible worlds, the only thing is that when we grow up we forget how to do it and only a few follow that path.
No dejemos morir nuestro niño artista, no dejemos morir el arte que hay en nosotros.
Let's not let our child artist die, let's not let the art in us die.
