Hello friends I hope you are very, very well, following the experience I had in Arequipa I share with you the following story of reflection that marked me during my brief stay in the province. On Saturday, after closing the workshop at the University (You can read about this moment here). We retired for lunch with a group of programming students to a typical place in the city.
Later, the organizers of the Workshop had launched the call for a meet at the Van Gogh coffee shop (a beautiful coffee, I'm editing the video for you to see it), we went and talked while we waited for the arrival of people, I think it had been 30 min when Sara and a friend of hers arrived. We were surprised because we had already lost hope that they would arrive at the meet.
REFLECTIONS:
This meet although it was small, it was incredibly valuable, Sara told us about her experience in web3, she is a developer and has participated in hackathons. And she told us that very few times they do events like this in her city, that when she read Simon's announcement she decided to attend the meet. Sara told us about the problem of the scarcity of educational spaces where they can learn and hear about blockchain. She also told us about her willingness to help disseminate information, but she wants to get to know the protocols she can work with. And of course, I told him about Hive and its powerful adoption strategy through decentralized social networks.
I was left thinking a lot that if there is no follow up and a determined plan of action the work that is done can float or disappear. I am still thinking about how to collaborate with the guys in Arequipa, I already helped some of them to create their Hive account, I hope they are encouraged to explore the ecosystem while we continue thinking about real solutions.
