I just watched Drag Me to Hell, and wow… Sam Raimi really proves why he’s the king of horror. The movie starts off simple — Christine Brown, a young loan officer, is trying to balance her job and personal life. But everything changes when she denies a loan to an elderly woman, Mrs. Ganush.
That small decision kicks off a full-blown nightmare. From the moment Mrs. Ganush curses her, the tension ramps up scene by scene. The horror is a perfect mix of psychological and supernatural — sometimes jump scares, sometimes just a creepy atmosphere that tightens your chest.
Watching Christine struggle, I really felt her helplessness. Every moment is suspenseful — long shadows, distorted sounds, and subtle visual effects that are terrifying without being over the top. And the climax! OMG… it left me on the edge of my seat, heart racing, with this weird mix of fear and relief.
The acting is solid, especially Alison Lohman as Christine and Lorna Raver as Mrs. Ganush. The dialogues are simple but perfectly convey fear and tension. The story is tight — no unnecessary twists, just a strong focus on the curse and survival.
Overall, Drag Me to Hell is a horror movie that’s fun, scary, and smart. If you love both jump scares and intense supernatural tension, this is a must-watch. I guarantee after watching, you’ll be clinging to your couch — and maybe even second-guessing small decisions in your own life 😅
