Tenía tiempo que no me encontraba con una película que me mantuviera en vilo desde la primera escena y es que al principio empieza tan normal, como una escena común de la vida diaria, una chica buscando trabajo, obviamente full necesitada, y que al encontrar el trabajo que le brindaba todo lo que necesitaba al momento, se podría decir que le había caído el trabajo de sus sueños..., con una familia adinerada, que le brindaba un lugar donde hospedarse y le cubría todas sus necesidades.

Pero no todo lo que vemos maravilloso lo es, y así tal cual sucede en la vida real, se presentó en esta película; poco a poco la trama fue enredándose en unas escenas que mantiene al espectador interesado a cada segundo y lo mejor, no llegas a sospechar que hay detrás de cada escena lo único que sabes, es que nada es como parece ser, así es que vives de sorpresa en sorpresa, pues los giros que da la trama no te permite descuidarte entre escena y escena si no quieres perder el hilo de la misma.

En esta película te muestran la resiliencia de las personas ante las adversidades y hasta dónde pueden llegar a soportar algunas personas las trampas que a veces les depara la vida y cómo la inocencia se va de golpe. Esta película te deja como mensajes que muchas veces nada es como aparenta ser y que siempre hay que estar pendiente de los indicios que te van dejando. Esta película es el vivo retrato de la manipulación y de lo que es tóxico en una relación, con su tinte de locura.

Y te muestra que definitivamente hay personas que son más fuertes de lo que ellas mismas saben. También te da una ojeada a ese mundo oculto que muchas familias ocultan, como lo es el maltrato físico y psicológico, la manipulación, las mentiras, y que se presentan ante el mundo como familias impecables y normales. Esto te hace volver al principio; nada es como lo que aparenta ser y te hace pensar que hay que estar pendientes de las banderas rojas ante cualquier relación, ya sea de pareja, amistad o cualquier tipo de relación.

Pero lo que más me gustó fue su final, que fue bastante inesperado; esas últimas escenas le pusieron su guinda al pastel, llenas de adrenalina y sorpresas, donde por fin los protagonistas se muestran cada uno como realmente son y lo que quieren, lo que esperan. La escena final fue un jaque mate para quienes no sabíamos ni sospechábamos cómo iba a terminar, porque hay películas que más o menos te dan un abreboca de lo que puedes esperar, pero esta no; ya cuando ves que termina es que ya todo quedó bien resuelto y en justicia.

Los invito a verla; de verdad que vale la pena sentarse a verla y, si vas con amigos, les apuesto que muy pocos atinarán la verdad desde un principio, a menos que sean muy observadores. Yo no le atiné sino hasta que iba como por media película más o menos y solo fue una leve sospecha de quién era verdaderamente el demente en la trama, y eso que me jacto de ser bastante observadora; esta película me dio mi trabajo. Así que la recomiendo al 100%, saludos amigos!

It had been a while since I’d come across a movie that kept me on the edge of my seat from the very first scene. It starts off so normal—just an ordinary scene of everyday life, a girl looking for work, obviously desperate—and when she lands a job that offers everything she needs at that moment, you could say she’d found her dream job: working for a wealthy family who provided her with a place to stay and covered all her expenses.

But not everything we see as wonderful really is, and just as in real life, that’s how it played out in this movie; little by little, the plot became entangled in scenes that keep the viewer hooked every second, and best of all, you never suspect what’s behind each scene—all you know is that nothing is as it seems, so you’re constantly surprised, since the plot twists don’t let you let your guard down between scenes if you don’t want to lose track of the story.

This film shows you people’s resilience in the face of adversity and how far some can go to endure the traps life sometimes lays for them, and how innocence is suddenly lost. This film leaves you with the message that often nothing is as it seems and that you should always be alert to the clues people leave behind. This film is a vivid portrayal of manipulation and what’s toxic in a relationship, with a touch of madness.

And it shows you that there are definitely people who are stronger than they themselves know. It also gives you a glimpse into that hidden world that many families conceal, such as physical and psychological abuse, manipulation, and lies, while presenting themselves to the world as flawless, normal families. This takes you back to square one; nothing is as it seems, and it makes you realize that you have to be on the lookout for red flags in any relationship—whether romantic, platonic, or otherwise.

But what I liked most was the ending, which was quite unexpected; those final scenes were the icing on the cake, full of adrenaline and surprises, where the protagonists finally reveal who they really are and what they want, what they hope for. The final scene was a checkmate for those of us who had no idea or suspicion of how it would end, because there are movies that more or less give you a preview of what to expect, but this one didn’t; only when you see it end do you realize that everything has been resolved fairly and justly.

I invite you to watch it; it’s really worth sitting down to watch, and if you go with friends, I bet very few of them will guess the truth from the start, unless they’re very observant. I didn’t figure it out until about halfway thru the movie, and it was only a slight suspicion of who the real madman in the plot was—and I pride myself on being pretty observant; this movie got me my job.
