If you have ever wondered what a Korean drama mixed with an Italian vibe would look like, (If you ever have). Vincenzo is your answer. It’s a 20 episode series that became one of the most talked-about Kdramas of its time, for good reasons though.
This series follows Vincenzo Cassano (Played by Song Joong-Ki), lots of k-drama fans knows him. A Korean boy adopted by an Italian mafia boss. He grows up Italy and becomes a lawyer, not a regular lawyer (a mafia lawyer and he basically knows how to manipulate the law better than anyone else.
He returns to South Korea after his boss dies to recover some hidden gold.
And along the way, he teams up with another lawyer, Hong Cha-Young. Hong Cha-Young loves drama as much as she loved justice.
Then there's Jang Jun-woo (Ok Taec-yeon, who's famous for his role in 'The heartbeat'). You'll get to discover his true identity when you see the movie, no spoilers here but just know he surprised everybody, I mean it.
At first, I thought he was harmless, I thought this guy wouldn't even know how to hurt a fly, but he turned out to be completely unhinged as the movie progresses.
The series has it all, that tension, suspense, comedy and justice. I loved it. This movie has kept me up for the past 24 hours, sort of.
There were some pretty funny scenes by Hong Cha-Young. The way she would purposedly mispronounce Vincenzo's name.
She would say "Vincenzo Quassano" on purpose just to annoy him. You will understand the vibe when you see the movie.
Vincenzo is perfect. I love Song Joong Ki. I've literally seen all his movies at this point. He is one of my favorites Korean actors. And Vincenzo made me love him even more.
