I never have expected in my wildest imagination that I would ever be able to fall all over for our film industry again in my life time!
To think I will witness to such revolution in our film industry, perfectly resembles to the allegory if I am to say, rising from abyss like a phoenix!
Sounds melodramatic!?
It indeed is!
We had amazing movies, drama, series in our childhood. It has been decades to be precise 18-20 years since this country's acting industry made anything worth watching or enjoying. Since our childhood, we only espied the industry only plummeting towards deep demise, making rotten and absolutely pathetic content of films, dramas and all. The time length is no joke!
So you can perceive the feelings of experiencing such revolution the industry that had gone to demise years ago and now began to rise apparently from that abyss like a phoenix!
Since Chorki Chorki website
and Hoichoi Hoichoi website
...these 2 platforms appeared to be a blessing for the Bangla acting industry (both in Bangladesh and Indian Bangla) they never failed to surprise the audience with their wonderful makings of various series, movies and drama.
An entirely new era for our catastrophic film industry.
Previously our industry was producing so many garbage movies, series or drama that in our cinema hall I never heard about airing any of the content from our film industry neither nobody even mention anything about it. The detest and sheer disappointment of the audience had reached to the point that we had almost forgotten that our country actually makes movie, series or dramas!
And then one fateful day I coincidently encounter Hoichoi. I seems to have forgotten what was the first trailer that intrigued my interest, however out of curiosity thought of checking the platform. After buying subscription (which is surprisingly cheap compared to the the amazing content they are airing) I think the first series I had watched was Mohanagar Mohanagar series
The major Protagonist of Mohanagar was Mosharrof Karim. I had never liked him before. Even though younger generation would love him for his comedy, but to me he seemed nothing but a pathetic, lame clown who has no idea of comedy whatsoever. But then when I watched Mahanagar, putting aside my biased judgment, he entertained me the most throughout the whole series!
And once again I realized more than actor or acting, it's the directors upon whom the foundation of an acting industry rely the most!
And approximately all the directors who are creating the wonderful content in Hoichoi and Chorki, are from our generation!
And that is why I sincerely believe in without a shred of doubt he too will enchant us one day. And I will never stopped to look forward for that day to arrive.
