A guy finds a devilish evil sword and searches for the magical hammer that will lead him to the supreme being, who will grant his wish that all magical gods die.
Quite simply, the script is bad! We see Gods on a space adventure and it's given no basis in lore at all. Nor does it tell us where the sword comes from , nor does it tell us what, ultimately, is going on with the Gods in the MCU. You will tell me, it is fantasy, there is no need to explain everything. Yeah, ok, but the MCU in its earlier phases has shown it to give a slightly more realistic explanation to more fluid fictional concepts and, in fact, at one point even to the concept of gods, when Fury simply called them aliens which made people worship them as deities. So, in the grand scheme of things, how are gods different from the rest of the races in the universe? And what is Eternity with the wish?
After all, in short, in the MCU's attempt to bring new characters into the universe, it is spoiling all the old stories .
SECONDLY, on the subject of humor... The truth is, there are some good jokes in the movie, with the goats getting the upper hand!!! However, some tragic things happen in this movie. Gorr loses his child to a slow and excruciating death. He then kidnaps children and puts on a show enough to scar them forever. Jane has cancer. We are talking about events, which are serious and not humorous.. In the scene where he talks to Jane about his dreams with her and gets the answer "I have cancer", there were laughs in the cinema. The whole mood that the movie has put you in spot to see everything as funny.
Well the fighting scenes were great and ultimately the ending was also very good probably better than the comics.
