Hola amigos cinéfilos, después de haber pasado tanto tiempo viendo películas de terror y de suspenso, me dije, voy a descubrir algo nuevo, voy a ver una película que jamás vería. Así que empecé a buscar películas románticas, que es el género cinematográfico que menos me atrae, no sé porque razón, supongo que crecí con la idea de que ese tipo de películas es para chicas, de cualquier manera espero romper ese prejuicio para siempre desde hoy y disfrutar de este género.

Y bueno, en mi búsqueda me topé con “Mi reino por un amor”, una película que creí era romántica y que más bien resultó ser una grandiosa comedia, buscaba plata y encontré oro, pues el género de comedia es de mis favoritos, y debo decir que no resulta nada fácil encontrar una buena comedia.
Mi reino por un amor fue producida en Rusia en 2014, dirigida por Alexander Khvan y protagonizada por Yuliya Parshuta, narra la historia de Christina, una joven rusa que cursa estudios en Inglaterra y por vacaciones decide visitar a su padre un empresario multimillonario, que está empezando una nueva relación después del fallecimiento de su primera esposa. Pero Christina nunca antes oyó a su padre hablar de estar mujer y se niega a aceptarla, esto le crea un gran conflicto con su padre, quien le echa en cara que es una niña mimada, incapaz de valerse por si misma y además vanidosa y grosera, por lo que Christina termina yéndose de casa para demostrarle lo contrario.

Así, Chrstina parte de casa sin un lugar a donde ir, pero tiene la suerte de encontrarse con un chico taxista llamado Nicholai, que le ofrece posada y la ayuda a conseguir un trabajo. Por supuesto nuestra protagonista que nunca ha trabajado y nunca ha movido un dedo dentro de casa, se ven en dificultades al momento de conseguir trabajo o de valerse por sí misma en las funciones más básicas como prepararse algo de comer. Para conseguir esto, tendrá que en primer lugar dejar a un lado su vanidad y su prepotencia para adoptar un poco de humildad y generosidad.

Tras superar una seria de pruebas y retos con la ayuda de su amigo Nicholai, Christina consigue ser una chica independiente y generosa, para luego descubrir que Nicholai de quien había empezado a enamorarse no es realmente quien parecía ser.

Mi reino por un amor se llevó mis aplausos, hace tiempo que no disfrutaba de una comedia tan sutil, pues no hay nada forzado, es sencillamente la historia de una chica vanidosa y maleducada a la que el karma le cobra todas las veces que ofendió y humilló a otras personas, al mismo tiempo demuestra cierta inocencia por ser tan dependiente de otras personas, y que además resulta gracioso ver cómo ha de adaptarse al desconocido mundo de los quehaceres diarios.
Las actuaciones y los diálogos a pesar de haberla visto doblada al español y no en ruso, son excelentes. El film es una verdadera obra de comedia que nos saca una sonrisa o una carcajada en cada momento, y que finalmente nos deja una muy importante reflexión sobre la humildad, el respeto, y la empatía, pues cuando se trata de estos valores, deben ser puestos en práctica para todos por igual, sin importar clases social, racial, jerarquía laboral, género, edad. Etc.

The performances and dialogues, despite i watched it dubbed in Spanish and not in Russian, are excellent. The film is a true work of comedy that makes us smile or laugh at every moment, and finally leaves us with a very important reflection on humility, respect, and empathy, because when it comes to these values, they should be put into practice for everyone equally, regardless of social class, race, work hierarchy, gender, age. Etc.
