Nielsen TV Ratings and the TV Guide - Those Were the Days

When I was a kid one of the greatest memories I have is how I spent time with my late mother watching television and so many classic tv shows that became as much of it's history as it is mine.

The TV Guide cover above was the issue that was scheduled for release 5 days after I was born and characters of the classic sitcom Bewitched graced the cover. Elizabeth Montgomery the star of course and Agnes Moorehead who played her mother and did an amazing job. Funny show for sure.

I have some tendencies where if I am all into it, I will want to somehow become part of it. No, not being on a tv show; but making sure my mother bought the TV Guide every week and the one thing that I looked for in anticipation were the Nielsen TV Ratings.

I have always been fascinated by rankings.

So of course, for this post I wanted to list the Top 10 television shows the day I was born: June 13th, 1966:

I used WikiPedia, but did search other sites for these rankings and they matched. This was just the neatest looking one.

There is tons of content on each show ranked above to write hundreds of posts on for sure.

This has been fun for me to reminisce and write about and it allows for so many more memories to build content on. Definitely, will keep my posting juices flowing.

The Nielsen Ratings and the TV Guide are still active, which is a testament to how I'm sure I'm not the only fanatic out there 😀
