La construcción de mundo no tiene mucho que destacar, es un pueblo que sufre la desaparición de niños, si bien por parte del colectivo si se nota una genuina preocupación por el paradero de los pequeños mediante diversas escenas es bastante incongruente que la policía se muestre completamente apática e incompetente ante la situación, esto es muy disonante puesto que el filme recalca constantemente la importancia de este hecho por lo que la ausencia de seriedad por estos le resta dicha relevancia. De cara a la escenografía esta es bastante sosa, el uso de sombras y demás es bastante mediocre, en general, es un apartado que se le notan muchas carencias sobre todo en el momento clímax del filme donde se muestra “la guarida del monstruo” que es sencillamente patética y muy olvidable, lo mismo sucede con los angulos de cámara los cuales muchas veces resultan patéticos y extraños, dignos de un youtuber de misterios más que de una filmografica.

La trama en un primer momento es interesante puesto que intenta generar ese pánico colectivo producto de una situación que les afecta y para la cual no se les da una solución, a su vez, jugaba con la idea de no dictaminar de forma tajante la existencia o no del villano dándole cierto matiz psicológico al filme, no obstante, todo lo anterior es mandado a la basura y sustituido por afirmaciones directas que matan toda la sutileza con la que había sido tratado el asunto previamente siendo una elección desagradable y contraproducente. Narrativamente el filme tiene varios errores, partiendo del hecho de que cambia abruptamente su ritmo de un momento a otro lo que termina afectandole, lo anterior se debe a que pasa de dudar sobre la existencia de algo a enfrentarlo de la forma más anticlimática posible, a su vez, introduce forzosamente una reflexión que no esta mal perse pero está completamente fuera de lugar. La duración es acorde, cada minuto se utiliza para desarrollar la premisa, el problema es que esta resulta aburrida con pocos momentos que estén orientados al terror como tal, incluso se podría pensar que la cinta quiere orientarse más a un slice of life con matices de misterios que ser un filme de terror producto de la ausencia de escenas propias del género.

El villano es completamente olvidable y bastante patético en más de un sentido debido a que no cumple con su rol de fungir como elemento de miedo e intriga.

El Hombre del Saco resulta un filme que le queda grande el hecho de pertenecer al género del terror, intenta desarrollar una historia que gire en torno a la importancia del núcleo familiar y la frágil mentalidad de los infantes pero no es un tema que desarrolle de la mejor forma como para que pueda salvar a la cinta de ser un desastre, sus personajes vacíos y su ambientación poco imaginativa no le ayudan en nada. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 2 estrellas de 7, si hubiese seguido con el estilo que marco al principio tal vez habría sido un filme mucho más interesante y memorable, desgraciadamente tiene muy pocas cosas que le hagan destacar por lo que es una recomendación solo por si quieres saber de esta leyenda más que por querer ver un buen filme de miedo.
