This review is for all three Bourne movies (Identity, The Bourne Legacy and The Bourne Ultimatum).
Director Tony Gilroy has crafted an excellent espionage thriller with a cast that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and the film is well directed with outstanding editing.
It's easy to pick holes in the film, such as; why do his friends all die? Why are the CIA's computer programmers so inept? Why didn't the authorities in Turkey know anything? The film also doesn't have a satisfying ending, but these are minor flaws.
The special effects are well done, and Matt Damon's acting is first class. The film's most impressive moments are the action sequences, but even these are well done. I was particularly impressed by Matt Damon's fight with Jeremy Renner's character. The Bourne identity is a terrific hero. The Bourne series has been a breath of fresh air, and Bourne Identity is a good and fun introduction to the franchise.
