The story of the movie The Girl On The Train in detail
The film began with Rachel Watson (Emily Blunt) appearing as an alcoholic, seeking recovery without explaining the reason in the film.
Most of the film's scenes are inside the train, and the viewer shows that Rachel Watson rides an aimless train every day to New York City, and that happened after she went through several events, including losing her job and her marriage as well.
As for the period of her marriage to Tom, Rachel fell into severe depression due to her illness, as she was diagnosed as sterile and unable to have children, and indeed Rachel was exposed to a severe problem due to alcohol addiction, and that happened when her lack of concentration due to alcohol led to a continuous power outage and Also destructive behaviour.
And one day Tom's boss at work had a barbecue, and she was photographed drunk, and Tom was fired after that because of her drunkenness. Nowadays, when she's drunk, she often deliberately teases Tom and his wife Anna, calling them several times throughout the day.
While commuting by train, she focuses on the lives of ex-husband Tom and his new wife Anna, as well as their next-door neighbors, Scott and Megan Hipwell, where Megan worked for Tom and Anna as a nanny but recently quit.
On the way home one afternoon, Rachel noticed that Megan was kissing a stranger other than her husband at work, and indeed she went to meet Megan at her house, but hours later woke up in Megan's bed and the bed was completely covered in blood.
And then I found out that Megan had disappeared from the house, and the investigation began, as Detective Riley interrogated Rachel because she had been spotted in the vicinity that day. Rachel calls Scott, Megan's husband, who introduces him as a friend of Megan's, to tell him about the case.
Scott shows Megan's psychiatrist, Dr. Kamal Abdic, to get to know him, and Rachel discovers that he is the man she saw kissing Megan. As a result of that saying, the doctor is questioned as a suspect, but he tells the police that Scott has been emotionally abusive towards his wife, and the suspicion has already shifted to him.
Then, when Megan was found murdered, tests revealed that she was pregnant, but neither her husband Scott nor Dr. Abditch was the father.
Scott then enters Rachel's house and violently confronts her for lying to him about being a friend of Megan's and directing the police towards Abditch, leaving him as a new suspect.
Rachel then tried to report the assault to the police, who thought Scott's violence might indicate he may have killed Megan, but Riley says he was dismissed as a suspect because there was TV footage of him in a bar at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile on the train, Rachel encounters Martha, Tom's ex-boss-wife, and she apologizes profusely for her behavior at the barbecue before, as Rachel broke a plate, threw food, and insulted Martha in front of everyone.
Martha says that Rachel did not do anything bad. But it's her husband, Tom, who was fired not because of her alcoholism but because he was spotted having sex with co-workers.
On that basis, Rachel can tell that Tom planted false memories in her head during his addictions, not to mention that he was also violent with her during the blackouts and at the barbecue.
At that time, Rachel begins to suspect that Tom has a big secret that he deceived her, and finds a strange phone in their house, and later discovers that it is Megan's phone.
And then Rachel now remembers that on the day she disappeared, Megan was caught meeting Tom, and Tom hit her when she tried to confront them. Rachel realizes that Tom killed Megan when she refused to abort his child, and now warns Anna, who already knew about their relationship.
When the two women confront Rachel and Anna about his relationship with Megan, he gets angry, tries to force Rachel to drink alcohol again, throws the bottle in her face, and then loses consciousness.
When Rachel woke up, she ran to the front door, but it was locked. Tom tried to strangle her while Anna watched from the top of the stairs and watched Evie as well.
And Rachel wanted to run through the kitchen and pick up the key, and then Tom grabbed her, and she was trying to turn, stabbing him in the neck with the key.
Then Anna appears and stabs him deeply and deeper in the neck, killing him. During the interview with Riley, Rachel and Anna tell identical stories about killing Tom in self-defense, after he confesses that he killed Megan. Finally, Anna admits that Rachel was right about everything about Tom.
And we find out after the passage of time, that Rachel visited Megan's grave in a cemetery and said after that, "We are bound forever now, the three of us, are bound forever to the story we shared together with the same man." In the last scene, she was filmed sitting on the other side of the train, wishing for a new life
