A 2015 historical film based on the story of a fur trapper (Hugh Glass).
The film won three Oscars (Best Lead Actor, Best Director, Best Cinematography) and was also nominated for eight awards, the most important of which are: Best Picture and Best Actor.
The brilliant (Leonardo DiCaprio) won his first Oscar with this legendary performance.
The film is directed by: Alejandro Inarritu, and co-written with (Mark Smith)
the story of the movie:
After being violently attacked by a grizzly bear, his group abandons him, and his son is buried by a member of the group; He decides to crawl towards revenge.
My personal opinion:
Director Alejandro Iñárritu proved his prowess in cinematography, particularly his (Long take) style of shooting scenes by presenting two cinematic masterpieces: (Birdman and The Revenant), especially in The Revenant, so that he was able to support the film in a manner befitting its atmosphere.
The beauty and perfection were not only in photography, while working on all the details of the scene with great accuracy, whether it was fashion and attention to the time period, or what happens with the side characters and what happens in the background. Also, don't forget the wonderful details in makeup (wounds, and the effect of ice on the face).
As soon as I mention the bear scene, who's watching and who's watching will know what I mean; A wonderful, wonderful scene to the highest degree, creativity in moving the bear, creativity (DiCaprio) in acting, and other factors that all came together to form an integrated scene of a bear attack, and for a moment you might suspect that it is an act.
As for acting, if you decide to go long take, you may need a huge cast of Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy; They can act perfectly and perform consistently until the end of the scene.
The legend (Leonardo DiCaprio) proved that with his amazing acting without uttering a single word, he was able to bring out anger, pain and hatred only with expressions.
One of the best movies I've seen, and also the best DiCaprio performance I've seen.
