It broke the record for the highest opening-day collection earned by an Indian film
This was our first movie after Covid - though we were late to the party. We are big fans of watching movie in a theater but last two years has been absolute pain, not being able to go to a hall. RRR tempted us to start the trend again, after hearing lot of positive news about RRR from close friends. It's like a movie that we should not miss - such was comments from close sources. So we decided to go to watch it at Cinepolis - it was almost empty when we booked the tickets, as it has been running since long. However, to our surprise we saw many people in the theater.
Coming to the plot (story) of the movie, its super fictitious - British Governor's wife taking a young tribal girl for singing and then the tribe's protector chasing the British to rescue the girl, meeting Ram serving as a police officer on the British side - the second powerful character in the movie. Everything in the story (You can read it here) is filmy (will appear unreal) but you will still enjoy it knowing that its filmy - the reason is that, it's packed with action from start to end and will never leave you bored at any point of time. And the visuals are indeed stunning - Never did I see such a visually stunning Indian movie. The 3D effect does add beautifully to the visuals, but hats off to the producers spending ₹5.5 billion (US$72 million) finally to make this a reality - you will love each frame in the movie. Usually we see Indian movies based on a single hero, but here you will see two superheroes showcasing their power packed action making it a visual spectacle. I highly recommend you watch this movie with your family - ya,it's a complete family movie - though the violence may not be suitable for very small kids.
Rise Roar Revolt - That's the buzz and the movie perfectly portrays it in the visuals. Interestingly, it relates all the unrelated pieces ( the British, the tribe, the wild, our mythology , freedom, culture) mounted on a very large scale to not even allow you to think when you are watching. But once you are done, you will wonder, how they came up with such ideas - super fun...You will feel like super recharged after watching this :)
And coming out, the kids were super hungry even after having two big popcorn's that costs no less than a lunch ( ya, they are priced super high at Cinepolis but who wants to miss them), so they wanted to eat out whatever available readily instead of going and sitting in a restaurant. And the popcorn reminds me a nice comedy - I was about to go to pick them in the midst of the movie and the lady was about to tell them to pause the movie - for a moment, she thought we are at our home :)
And followed by our favorite Baskin-Robbins .....
Do you notice anything unusual in this post ? The first person who finds out the right answer would get 5 hive from me. And hey , I tried to write my first post in the community from the cinetv frontend but I got network error for almost every other image upload, is there some restrictions around the size of the images ?
