These days I'm making most of my post only about Ryan Reynolds movies but that's absolutely not the only things I'm watching. I don't have the time to make a full post for each of them but there are many things I'm watching I would love to share !
More than that there are also few movies I'm planning to watch but I really don't know if I should or not :') This post will be as much a list of recommended movies and me asking for your opinion about some movies 😁
Let's Go
Movies
I watched quite a lot of movies but I decided to take only few of them.
You can totally watch all my Ryan Reynolds' movies review if you want but on this post there will be no link with that actor I promise ! I am absolutely not making a post about 2022 movies because I'm really late as you'll see, I didn't see most of the new big movies from this new year...
Enola Holmes
The only thing I knew about this movie before watching it was "The main Character is the Sherlock's sister" but I didn't even know that she was that young. I really thought it was just a female version of him but she is here to be also a younger character to still have the same investigations but for a younger public. That's true the Sherlock Holmes movies and series could be a little dark and/or complicated, maybe too much for 10 yo children.
I was happily surprised to see it isn't only for the youngers. I really enjoyed the movie, seeing her relation with her two brother really adds something to the movies.
There is only one big big bad point I could underline in that movie.
I Really think Henry Cavill was a bad choice for Sherlock. For one only reason. He is Henry Cavill. I mean, Enola Holmes is a Sherlock Holmes' spinoff but seeing Sherlock Holmes as a second Character in that movies just make me hope a lot for a Spinn Off's Spin off about that Sherlock Holmes in that Enola Holmes movie. That's confusing ? Yes and I'm not sorry about that.
I don't know a lot of movies or series I didn't liked Henry Cavill because he's always perfect for his roles. So now I hope Netflix is going to make a Sherlock Cinematic Universe !
White Boy Rick
This movie also was a total surprise for me. I was just playing Farming Simulator 22 and wanted to watch a movie at the same time. I opened Netflix and saw Matthew McConaughey, that was enough to make me click on play and enjoy the movie.
The funny part is that Matthew is actually not the main character. He's important but we're following his son and there are a lot of things I like ! When we see the family at first, each member seem to be a dick hear able to hit almost everyone for almost nothing. But the furtherer you go into the movie the more king they appear. Even the father who seemed to be the worst can show some love to his kids and do smart moves while he looked pretty stupid at first.
The evolution of each character is interesting. This look like a street version of "The wolf of Wall Street"
Don't look up
Yes, I said to you I'm late. I watched it like 3 weeks ago. Way longer after most of the people stopped making reviews about it.
I am an ecologist, making my maximum to change my lifestyle to have the smallest impact possible on the environment possible. Growing my own food with permaculture is one of my main goal in life but I'm not going toatalk about that at all.
I like the movie and I had mixed fellings about it when watching. During the movie I was really thinking that is wasn't realistic at all. The Jonah Hill's character taking drugs during meetings and totally doing shit all time, and is here at the government just because he is the President's son.
Then I remembered about Trump giving his whole family posts in the white house, and I saw few interviews of ecologists on anti-ecology tv channel and realized it wasn't that unrealistic.
I was maybe a little disappointed about the end and the movie is actually asking a lot of question about the environment. During all the movie we are really lost. We don't really know if they are right or not. Maybe they are overreacting about the situation and the other are totally sane when they want to make profit with the comet ! Like most of banks are still paying thousands of billion dollar into fossile energy each year to make more and more profits. (Looks like I will make a post about it in few days but probably with )
Tick, Tick... Boom!
I would probably never have seen it if my girlfriend didn't ask me to watch it with her. At first I only thought it was a movie about a musician trying to sell his work but then I realized it was a musical. Even if I'm not a big fan of musical I really enjoyed this one ! The story is well integrated in the lyrics and Endrew Garfield is incredible. And once again, the fact that it is a true story always make me amazed about the unrealistic side of the stories.
There are many aspects in the movie, the musical the character is writting, his relationship with his girlfriend and his gay best friend, everything in 1990 when a lot of their friends or acquaintances are dying from AIDS.
StarDust
I watched this movie and at first I really thought it was going to be a really bad moment.
I has everything to be really crappy, it's a fantastic movie with a lot of withces, pirates, a strange a childish atmosphere. I thought it was gonna be a little ridiculous, the main character seem to be a little candid at first.
While watching it I was really asking myself, "Why isn't it bad ?" I was really enjoying it. That's because all the actors are doing an excellent job. Charlie Cox, Claire Danes, Mark Strong and Robert De Niro are really excellent !
So in that movie except some little moment maybe too childish the movie is really pleasant to watch 😅
Once again Henry Cavill is really charismatic in the movie but that's really strange to see him in a 2007 movie, he wasn't as fit as he is today. I mean he probably has 30 kg of muscles more than me but he's way thinner than he is now. And once again I would have love to see him more.
Black Box
This one is a French movie about a plane crash. Someone's mission is to understand why the place crashed only with the black box records but one big issue about that is the recording. It has been corrupted and everything isn't totally clear.
I'm not really into french movies usually (yep, that's pretty strange for a French editor...) but this one really has something special. One of the things I don't like usually is that french movies have their style which is sometimes too far away from american cinema. This one doesn't look like a french nor an american movie, it has its own style, pretty rhythmed and artistic. From the audio design to the video editing, I really enjoyed it because even with that it's still a movie for everyone, not just for cinephiles.
I'll be a little faster for the movie I want to watch but I'm not sure it's worth the time I Promise !
Venom Let there be Carnage
I mean. I really enjoyed the first one. That's that kind of movie I liked while knowing it was not a good movie, I even watched it at least 2 or 3 times since it's release. While everyone I know didn't liked it.
For the second one, the only friend I know who liked the first said to me this one is a shit. He hated it, too fast and not really interesting.
Few days ago I downloaded the movie and it's now on my drive disk. I just don't know if I should use my time to watch it. I would love to have some of your opinion to know if I should
The Eternals
It's almost the same for this one. I'm almost sure I will like it but I'm still hesitating. I'm almost sure I'll watch it and I'll like it but I would like to have some other opinions from other people.
When listening to my friends I realized something. The people I know that where hyped by it didn't liked it but my friends which saw it thinking it would be bad finally liked it. So now I'm confused, I want to watch it but to like it I have to think it would be bad ?
I'll watch it and I hope I will like it :)
Matrix Resurrection
I have absolutely no opinion about this one and heard almost nothing. I like the casting, I don't like matrix that much.
It looks like the movie is really bad. Do you have some opinion ? I'm personnally really lost about this one :')
I really thought I watched more movies in the previous weeks but I really feel like the big majority was Ryan Reynolds' movies :')
I wanted to make also a series recommendation but it appears the post is already pretty long and I have way more series to share than movies and more things to say about them 😁
Cool for me that means more rewards but that means also that will make an absolutely long post to write 😅
I also think I will make that kind of post more often, maybe once per trimester, and I hope to have more movies the next times :')
