Advances in information technology that have an impact on digitalization in the business world have increasingly opened up monopolistic practices and unfair competition in business competition in Indonesia.
This is part of the presentation delivered by the Head of the Regional Office I Sumatra Supervisory Commission (KPPU), Ramli Simanjuntak SH MH, during a public lecture at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Malikussaleh at the Cut Meutia Hall, Bukit Indah Campus, Lhokseumawe, Thursday, April 22, 2021.
The activity which was carried out in a hybrid manner was attended by more than a hundred students and lecturers in the FEB Universitas Malikussalehenvironment which was continued with the question and answer that went smoothly.
Thenstudents seemed enthusiastic about asking questions while staying consistent with health protocols so that this public lecture provided in-depth understanding and knowledge for the participants regarding Law Number 5 of 1999 and KPPU.
This activity is part of the implementation of the cooperation program which is an important part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Rector of Universitas Malikussaleh, Dr. Herman Fithra Asean Eng, in Jakarta on March 18, 2021.
This is the fastest implementation of the MoU and on this occasion, the Faculty of Economics and Business also discussed in detail the items contained in the PKS with the KPPU so that we could achieve the realization of our Main Performance Indicators, said the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dr. Hendra Raza.
Dr. Mohd Heikal, who is the person in charge appointed in the implementation of the MoU and PKS with the KPPU, said that the public lecture was an effort to strengthen collaboration in order to support the Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi programs.
Support for supervision and efforts to prevent violations through 19 activity points for the next three years so as to have a positive impact on these two institutions was also signed the Implementation Agreement between Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Malikussaleh and KPPU Kanwil I Sumatra.
Meanwhile, the Head of the KPPU, Kanwil I Sumatra, is also very enthusiastic that the implementation which contributes to the implementation of the Independent Learning Campus can be executed as soon as possible.
"We want FEB Universitas Malikussaleh to immediately send students to carry out apprenticeship programs at the KPPU and also to encourage the birth of the Acehan-based anti-monopoly and business competition policies and other programs," said Ramli Simanjuntak.
This activity will be followed by a discussion of the timeline from PKS and also other meetings in order to strengthen this cooperation. []
