Festivities are over and educational activities has begun. This had me travelling back to my school (which is referred to as the Den) yesterday. I was so excited!
It wasn't an easy journey though, there were dusts everywhere, thank goodness I had my face mask and sunglasses on. The journey turned out to be longer than usual but in all I'm grateful for the safe trip.
On getting to my house, I had to unpack. This is the most stressful part of travelling, it's always so exhausting. For this reason, I always avoid carrying too much load when I travel. This time, it wasn't so. I just couldn't resist carrying a lot of foodstuffs as I don't know the next time I'll be home.
After unpacking and arranging, I proceeded to fetch water and wash a few utensils. At the end of it, a growling sound from my stomach notified me that I had to eat. I had not eaten the entire day to avoid stomach upset or pressure to defecate in the course of my journey.
Though I was extremely tired, I decided I'll still cook a light meal for dinner. Fortunately, my neighbour who is also a student came back at that moment so I helped him carry his luggages up to his apartment. When we were done, he asked if I cooked I said no, I had no strength and he said we should go out to get food for dinner and he'll pay. That's how we both hit the road and returned with a plate of jollof spaghetti, salad and fried fish with a chilled soft drink to gulp it down. What a mad combo right?
I sat comfortably and consumed my food. I was so relieved after eating.
Today is a new day, I should be in school for classes but I don't think I have the strength. I'll likely rest more, put my things in order, select and iron my outfits for the week,go to the bookshop to buy some books....by tomorrow I'll start attending classes.
To all the students here, I wish y'all success in your academic pursuit. I pray God gives us strength to cope with the stress and supply us with all we'll need to excel in our various field of study.
Have a good day everyone.
Your's Truly,
Didiee ♥️🌹
