Instructional process is a multi-faceted engagement technique give by "Teachers" to instill knowledge, skills, attitude, value, belief system etc. In the learners'. The process will sharpen the learner's awareness and conceptualization of ideas and concepts. These will enable individualsto grow with knowledge, skilss and competence in making decisions that will make them functional within the Society. The process is however open and involves a lot of activities designed in a diversified manner to meet the type of education the individual pass through.
Instructioncan be rendered in informal or formal settings right from birth to school and society. The essence is to teach, train and instruct by making the learner's learn and adjust positively to events and occurrence within the environment.
The intersection of the "learner" with the teacher and the environment is only through stimulation and engagement of the sense organs. With this process, an individual learner becomes aware and gain experience about what he/she has been exposed to.
Philosophers, Psychologists and Educators have concluded that nothing passes to the intellect without the sense organs.
The process of Education therefore is to cause the learners' to interact in the learning process of educating, teaching or training. With the sense organs, an individual can learn continuously till death provided the sense organs are effective.
MEANING OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES
Community resources are often referred to as community phenomenals located within the community and which when properly engaged in can become a new and real source of information. Community resources as fondly called are sseen in two perspectives i.e some of them are naturally endowed while some are due to human development and activities. They are strategically situated outside the classroom hence the "learners" need to visit such institutions, organizations and natural scenerio. More often, the learners adopt field trip or excursion pedagogical strategy to access the sites or location.

Community resources that are natural include; mountain, waterfall, lakes, confluences, Tributaries, Ranches, Forest reserves, Deserts, Valleys etc. Those ones are developed by man include; radio and television stations, transmission centres, printing press,parks, museum,ponds, industries media houses, resources centre, Cyber cafe , Newspaper houses, Farm Brewing and other production centres. These and many others located outside the school environment add up to becoming very good sources of knowledge and information. Here learner's are exposed to first hand experiences and conceptualization of ideas.
RELEVANCE OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES
- These resource materials add up to classroom experience theoretically taught by instructors.
- They give real experiences tithe lessons.
- They are sources of motivation to learners.
- They make instruction interesting, immediate and lasting.
- They break the bond classroom monotony.
- Learners can see, feel and touch.
- They provide physical exercises to the learners.
- They act as complimentary learning avenues to the learners. Etc.
USE OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES
More often, these resources are located and managed by different institution and organizations, this independence requires contacts, interactions, requirements and conditions to access the resources. The ability to access and use depends on the understanding of the managers who may open up the resources for access. This makes access cumbersome and procedural. The relationship between the institutions of learning and managers may widen or act as barriers for use of facilities and resources.
Generally however, the following procedures are usually taken for use of community phenomenals.
- Contact is opened by writing to the management of the resource.
- Permission is sought from the principal or the head Teacher and explanation offered on why the trip or excursion is necessary.
- The reports are discussed and scored where necessary.
- Students write reports on what they observedand submit.
5.The excursion is initiated. - The instructor visit the sites and concludes arrangement on dates, time and groupings where necessary.
CHALLENGES OF USE OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES
- It is cumbersome to initiate.
- it is costly to execute.
- Traveling burning is enormous.
- It is very difficult to control the learners.
- It takes a long time and much energy to accomplish.
