Hello Friends,l want to talk on how Sex Education Can be introduced to Children by Parents.
Attitude is a permanent way of responding to someone or something in a favourable or unfavorable way.Attitude, often times influence behaviour and the strength of the link between particular attitude and behaviour varies.
Sexuality Education is the provision of knowledge, information and facts about sexual anatomy, sexual reproduction and other sex related issues. The usefulness of sex education lies in the fact that it will help to provide the younger generation reliable information on reproduction health issues.
In examining sexually education among children,it is necessary to consider the attitude of their parents, which, as a matter of fact,may still be relevant in determining whether to be or not to be.ln other words, parent's attitude can significantly influence the schools' willingness or otherwise in providing for Sexuality Education in their curriculum.
Parents are particularly important here because of their closeness to their children and their significant influence on their character build-up. From experience, children sometimes become victims of unplanned sexual activities such as sexual abuse and rape. Besides this,the rate at which children these days are exposed to sexual information through the mass media requires that they should be equipped with adequate information that would help them to select what is good enough for their health. If sex education is not provided formerly, the child may get to learn about it informally. Often,such informal sources do not usually provide correct information.
