Every year our school (upper level vocational school) is named SMK Swasta Satria Nusantara Binjai. will update existing school programs to attract students so that more students enter our school. and our school also helps students who are not financially well off to continue their studies. Every year there are so many programs that not only help with their school fees, but we also help channel their creations in the field of art through art performances that we organize with certain themes. And this year we re-introduced our school program to help ease the economic burden of the poor surrounding communities.
Some of the programs that we introduce are:
- Free tuition for 1 year
- Free building money
- Free Exam Fee
- Free WIFI
- Free Extracurricular
And all of these school programs are contributions from the Indonesian government through School Operational Assistance. And private schools like us are free to make their respective school programs to be more advanced and independent in accordance with the curriculum that has been set by the government of the Republic of Indonesia. And to launch the programs that we have approved through the internal teacher council meeting, then for this year we will hold an Art Performance Activity.
In 2022, the art performance that we are holding carries the theme, regional dance. We present participants in this art performance from several junior high schools. With the aim that later they will know about our school programs and they will share it through their respective social media. And for this year, there are about 20 junior high schools that take part in this art performance competition. Why do we only invite first-year students? Because our school is a top-level vocational school, so our promotion market is in junior high school.
The enthusiasm of the participants this year is quite high with the creation of dances to the regions that fall into various kinds, a movement that is very beautiful and has its own story. And this regional dance also has several themes that are raised, including the Modren Creative Dance. Traditional dance and modern dance. And there is one more competition, namely solo vocals. All of the judges in this competition are those who have been tested and have their respective competencies.
The winners of this performing arts competition will be given prizes in the form of trophies and certificates of appreciation. Not only the Foundation who supports this program, but the TNI, as well as universities and mobile communications also support us by sponsoring us. the event was very exciting and their enthusiasm was unquestionable. And I am sure that in the future many of our younger generations will love their own culture. We hope that our program will be followed by many other schools.
