En el campo educativo se ha pasado por diversos estudios que van enfocados al desevolvimiento del Ser humano desde lo personal hasta su convivencia en la sociedad, sin dejar a un lado el área laboral.
De una educación estática donde se consideraba al aprendiz como un espacio vacío que se debía llenar con informaciones en cuanto a lectura, escritura, comportamiento social, su evolución va más allá de la complejidad del ser humano.

Investigadores como Goleman y su teoría de Inteligencia Emocional nos llevó a contemplar y asimilar que no solo es aprender a leer y escribir...la pregunta de este gran científico era que hay más allá del Ser, sobre todo en relación a emociones, qué significan y cómo se manifiestan en los diferentes ambientes donde se desenvuelve el individuo.

Por otro lado, Gardner presenta la teoría de las Inteligencias Múltiples, expone en ella que el individuo es poseedor de varias inteligencias donde unas prevalecen más que las otras, de allí se dice o se expresa en la sociedad una frase: tiene facilidad para captar la música, o la pintura, o se le hace fácil el manejo de los números. El punto está que todos las poseemos y cada uno puede desarrollar aquella que no se le hace sencillo aprender pero que la capacidad es parte de cada individuo.
En esos pasos por la investigación acerca de la inteligencia, Gardner introduce el término de la inteligencia espiritual que la denominó “inteligencia existencial o transcendente”.
Según este investigador es “la capacidad para situarse a sí mismo con respecto al cosmos, así como la capacidad de situarse a sí mismo con respecto a los rasgos existenciales de la condición humana como el significado de la vida, el significado de la muerte y el destino final del mundo físico y psicológico en profundas experiencias como el amor a otra persona o la inmersión en un trabajo de arte.”

Tomando en cuenta cada uno de los aportes anteriores, nos regresamos un poco en la historia del estudio sobre el comportamiento humano, recordando a * Abraham Maslow* en su famosa Pirámide o jerarquía de las necesidades humanas (quienes han estudiado Educación, Psicología, Gerencia, pueden recordarlo, es teoría primordial para estudiar el tema de La Motivación).

Este investigador, luego de seguir aportando sobre el tema de las relaciones personales , amplió la pirámide y la cúspide la llamó Autorrealización...a pesar que daba sus explicaciones existían dudas acerca de esta ampliación en la pirámide y era algo así como poco entendible; recuerdo que un profesor en un curso de postgrado que realicé explicaba esto pero con cierto escepticismo...por lo general lo llevaban hacia el punto de cuando el hombre ha logrado sus ambiciones materiales y que allí se iba a sentir realizado...pero nunca se expresaba en términos de espiritualidad y esa razón de porqué llevarlo a estudiarlo científicamente.
Quiere decir que Abraham Maslow, ya hacía ese llamado a atender esa parte del Ser que no se ve pero está en cada uno de nosotros, de la conexión con una fuerza superior que lo llevaba a contemplar y a hacerse preguntas como ¿Quién Soy? ¿De dónde vengo? ¿A qué vine a este mundo? y así una serie de preguntas que se mantienen en debate en pleno Siglo XXI, donde están los grupos de los que creen y los que no.
La autorrealización, para este autor, es un estado espiritual en el que el individuo emana creatividad, es feliz, tolerante, tiene un propósito y una misión de ayudar a los demás a alcanzar ese estado de sabiduría y beatitud. Es a través de su satisfacción que se encuentra una justificación o un sentido válido a la vida mediante el desarrollo potencial de una actividad. Fue un precursor de lo que ahora denominamos inteligencia espiritual.
Sin embargo, Gardner que ya existía esa conjetura realizada por Maslow, se hacía la pregunta y preguntaba a otros algo así como “inteligencia espiritual ¿no será mucho?”.
Así como hay grupos que creen y otros que no, existen organizaciones que orientan a los niños bajo este concepto y lo definen de la siguente forma:
La Inteligencia Espiritual se refiere a la lucha humana por encontrar el significado, visión, conocimiento espiritual el valor. Cuando la Inteligencia Espiritual infantil es alentada, sus mayores talentos y potencial de curación y felicidad se consiguen. Es vital para su supervivencia y bienestar.

In the field of education, there are several studies that focus on the development of the human being from the personal to the coexistence in society, without leaving aside the labour area.

On the other hand, Garnerd presents the theory of Multiple Intelligences, in which he states that the individual possesses several intelligences where some prevail more than others, hence a phrase is said or expressed in society: he has a facility for grasping music, or painting, or it is easy for him to handle numbers. The point is that we all possess them and each one can develop the one that is not easy to learn but that the ability is part of each individual.
In these steps in researching intelligence, Garnerd introduced the term spiritual intelligence, which he called "existential or transcendent intelligence".

This means that Abraham Maslow was already making this call to attend to that part of the Self that cannot be seen but is in each one of us, of the connection with a superior force that led him to contemplate and ask himself questions such as: Who am I? Where do I come from? Why did I come to this world? and a series of questions that are still being debated in the 21st century, where there are groups of those who believe and those who do not.
*Self-realisation, for this author, is a spiritual state in which the individual emanates creativity, is happy, tolerant, has a purpose and a mission to help others reach that state of wisdom and bliss.
It is through its fulfilment that a valid justification or meaning to life is found through the potential development of an activity.
He was a forerunner of what we now call spiritual intelligence.
However, Garnerd, who already had Maslow's conjecture, asked himself the question and asked others something like "spiritual intelligence, isn't that a lot?
Just as there are groups that believe and others that don't, there are organisations that guide children under this concept and define it as follows:
