paraphrase very valuable tool in student learning since it helps them enrich their lexicon and develop their intellect more quickly, since when we paraphrase
we substitute words with synonyms, we use different word order...
In other words, paraphrasing is "using someone else's ideas, but using them as if they were your own"
By applying this tool to our students we are fostering important skills in the reading and writing process, in addition to extensively developing their lexicon.
In this sense, when applying this tool, develop the following skills:
" Create more content in less time". By paraphrasing you speed up the content in less time by analyzing in your own words what the context indicates
"Generate plagiarism-free content". It is also a motivation to enrich the lexicon which will allow you to expand your vocabulary without having to write or repeat the same thing that the writers or other people write.
"Improve your writing skills". By paraphrasing, you read more, reflect in your own words and speed up your writing process
" Improves creative thinking". In the same way, it broadens critical thinking because reading leads your thinking to expand your ideas and be more creative.
In this order of ideas I paraphrase the following fragment:
"Life is not a straight and easy corridor that we walk freely and without obstacles, but a labyrinth of passageways, in which we have to find our way, lost and confused, stopped, from time to time, by a dead end. But, if we have faith, a door always opens before us; It may not be the one we imagine, but it will be, finally, the one that proves to be good for us“
( A.J. Cronin)
The following fragment affirms a context related to life, where it describes that in life we are all going to encounter obstacles, because the paths to travel are not suitable for human beings to make their own decisions and walk freely without restrictions; Well, we will all encounter obstacles, but we must find the right path to find our own path, since there will be times when we can become paralyzed and changes can affect us. However, the author advises us not to let ourselves be persuaded by the obstacles that we find in the journey of life, but to fill ourselves with faith and hope to understand that problems are not forever, that we have to remove those stones that we find along the way and continue because there will always be something that leads us to a better ending
