Back in May of 2017, a small team of educators from around the world got together and asked, "What if?"
What if there was a way to bring the most powerful force for change to every person on earth?
What if there was a way for a child to have access to the expertise of an educator 3000 miles away?
What if people could actually be paid to learn?
What if there was a way to reward creative educators for sharing their talents with the world?
What if there were a way to show that everyone can educate others on their area of expertise?
What if the Hive blockchain was the answer to all of these questions?
And then... Steemiteducation was born.
At first, Steemiteducation relied on the generosity of a few whales to trust that the Steemiteducation team would find the highest quality education-related posts on a different platform, but we all know how that ended.
These whales followed the Steemiteducation vote and encouraged creative community members to create high quality original content. Although we tried to attract other whales who would do the same, it was difficult for many to do so since it meant forgoing the significant rewards they could obtain from other methods.
Luckily, the oldest and most trusted community curation project, , stepped in to provide the support the educational community needed.
Because Curie was providing support to so many communities, and content creators, even their support was not enough to encourage the large number of educators and students we had hoped to attract to steemit. Steemiteducation sought delegations and was lucky enough to receive some.
Once again, due to the difficulty with getting stakeholders to essentially donate to a curation project, Steemiteducation sought other ways to increase our HP so that we could attract and retain talented content creators. Most of the whales supporting us has since left the platform.
BUT
With the introduction of the community feature, Steemiteducation is excited to show that the Hive blockchain is indeed the answer to...
"What if?"
If you would like to be part of the answer to this question, please support Steemiteducation and its talented community members! Thank you to everyone who has been doing so for the past five years!
