BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES; During and at the end of the lesson,the students should be able to;
i) Identify and write letter Tt
ii) produce the sound of letter Tt
ii) Mention words with the sound of letter Tt
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL; A wall chart showing objects with the sounds of letter Tt.
INTRODUCTION; To begin the lesson, the pupils will be reminded of the lesson on the sounds of letter Rr and Ss.
PRESENTATION;
step 1: Teach the pupils that letter Tt is the twentieth letter of the alphabet. To write letter Tt, you begin at a point then write a stroke down then dash at the top.
Step 2: Teach the pupils that the sound of letter Tt is /t/.
Step 3: Here are some words example for the sound of letter Tt;
- Tap - /tæp/
- Tape - /teIp/
- Task - /tæsk/
- Tank - /tænk/
EVALUATION: To evaluate the lesson, the following questions will be asked orally thus:
i) The twentieth letter of the alphabet is ____?
