INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL; A wall chart showing objects with the sounds of letter Rr.
INTRODUCTION; To begin the lesson, the pupils will be reminded of the lesson on the sounds of letter Pp and Qq.
PRESENTATION;
step 1: Teach the pupils that letter Rr is the eighthenth letter of the alphabet.
Step 2: Teach the pupils that the sound of letter Rr is /r/.
Step 3: Here are some words example for the sound of letter Rr;
- Ran - /ræn/
- Rake - /reīk/
- Rat - /ræt/
- Read - /ri:d/
EVALUATION: To evaluate the lesson, the following questions will be asked orally thus:
i) Letter Rr is the ______ letter of the alphabet?
