
Hello teachers, students, and researchers, I am here again today, Wednesday, 6th May, 2020, to share a guide on how to measure "Effectiveness of School Principals' Administration Capacity" through research.
The school is seen as a system that is made up of many factors including Management, teachers, students, regulatory bodies, host communities, parent, among others. Being able to coerce all these factors to work together towards the achievement of education goals is quite tasking and it takes the man at the helm of affairs to be able to leverage the right leadership skills. This brings to bare Administration in School.
Generally, administration within the school setting involves the functions of planning, organizing, co-ordinating, supervising and evaluating all the contributing factors and stakeholders of the school in a way to enhance the attainment of the goals of teaching on the part of teachers and learning on the part of students.
It is therefore a matter of importance that the manager of the school, in this case. the principal must be able to engage his leadership skills effectively to administer the daily operations of the school. However since no one was born with these skills, rather they are developed over time and experience, it becomes necessary to assess the principal's administration effectiveness to show their capacity to continue the management team of schools.
Administrative Effectiveness of School Principals as conceptualized in this study is the ability of the school principal to Management of Students’ Data and be accountable to the stakeholders of the school.
It is against this background that related studies to measure the Effectiveness of School Principal's Administration Capacity.
I have put in over seven years into educational researches, and I have discovered that it is a popular problem among research students to be able to construct their instruments for collection of data even when this is a major component for the success of the research. In the coming days, I would be sharing more research guides and tips for students and teachers. This is my way of supporting the @Education-Hive community.
