Hello teachers, students, and researchers, I am here again today, Tuesday, 28th April, 2020, to share a guide on how to measure "School's Attainment of Educational Goals" through research.
Goal to a lay man is the state of affairs that a plan is intended to achieve. It may also mean purpose or objective toward which an endeavour is directed. It is therefore likely that any organization without set goals may imply that the efforts of the organisation will an adventure ending at nothing. This makes the synonymous terms “goals”, “objectives”, “purpose” and “aims” inevitable in the setting of any institution.
To further buttress this fact, we can also see "goals" and "objectives" as educational purposes directly related to school and classroom outcomes respectively. Goals are expression of purposes specified for achievement at each level of education. However the term “aim of education” may be used when the purpose of education for a country is being discussed.
The general objectives or aims of education can be summarized as the all-round development of human nature so that people are able to use their talents to the optimum capacity of their inborn potentialities. In so doing, the individuals become useful to his country, to his society, his family and to himself.
Goal accountability thus relates to the evaluation of the selection, definition and prioritization of the goals and objectives of education.
Attainment of Educational Goals as conceptualized in this study is the ability of the school principal to satisfy the requirements of ensuring students’ enrolment in school and students’ good performance in final examination.
It is against this background that related studies to measure School's Attainment of Educational Goals.
I have put in over seven years into educational researches, and I have discovered that it is a popular problem among research students to be able to construct their instruments for collection of data even when this is a major component for the success of the research.
