Hello teachers, students, and researchers, I am here again today, Wednesday, 1st April, 2020, to share a guide on how to measure lecturer factors that affect undergraduate students' entrepreneurial Intentions through research.
The Paucity of manpower has been identified as one of the setbacks to the achievement of the objectives of entrepreneurship education in tertiary institutions. Knowing the usefulness of lecturers in the achievement of educational goals, it is glaring that teacher-related factors has a great stake in influencing students appreciation and acceptance of what is taught.
There is no gain-saying, therefore, that entrepreneurship education cannot have effective outcomes where teachers (lecturers) are not at their best being a top motivation to students within the learning environment. It therefore follows that teachers’ gender, knowledge of subject matter, classroom management skills and teaching methods adopted, among other factors may either encourage or discourage students’ entrepreneurial intentions.
It is against this background that there is need to examine the lecturer factors that could influence entrepreneurial intentions of undergraduate students in tertiary institutions. This questionnaire guide would be effective to measuring those lecturer related factors. These factors are conceptualized as:
- Lecturer’s knowledge of subject matter
- Lecturer’s classroom management skills
- Lecturer’s teaching method
I have put in over seven years into educational researches, and I have discovered that it is a popular problem among research students to be able to construct their instruments for collection of data even when this is a major component for the success of the research. In the coming days, I would be sharing more research guides and tips for students and teachers. This is my way of supporting the @Steemiteducation and the #Education-Hive community.
I decided to put below the following guide question for a researcher who is interested in working on a topic related to "lecturer factors that could influence entrepreneurial intentions of undergraduate students in tertiary institutions".
