Tortoise Tricks Set back. (WHY TORTOISE HAVE BALD HEAD)
A long long time ago, tortoise like other animals had furs that covered it's head. The hair was not much and did not cover the entire body since it had scales in the body. Tortoise as usual was a very crafty animal who's only means of survival was to play tricks. He tricked other animals to gain favours and survive the hard times that his laziness caused him.
One day, tortoise was very hungry and he didn't know what to do. It's obvious that his laziness and tricks had made him become enemy to many other animals in the animal kingdom that none of them would ever want to associate with him. He walked out of his hole house and moved aimlessly along the path leading the the main village. While walking, he saw pig digging the ground. "What's going on?" He asked.
"Please leave me alone, I'm looking for your grinding stone which your wife was using to make her snuff, the pig yelled at the tortoise" The tortoise must have forgotten that he tricked the elephant some years back to go look for his wife's grinding stone which out of anger the tortoise had tossed into the nearby bush. "Please leave the stone for now, I'm very hungry, could you help me with any food at home?" Tortoise asked with patience and expectations.
No, I can't, I must find your stone so that I can get back my money, the 🐷concluded. The tortoise knew that there's certainly not going to be anyway he can get food from the pig as he was bent on finding the stone. The tortoise was angry and at the same time regretted why he had tricked the pig 🐷 🐷🐽. Pig would have helped me if not that I'd lied to him he thought.
Then an idea popped up, maybe, I'd need to go to Elephants 🐘🐘 🐘🐘 house, he sure always has food and would like to help me.
When Tortoise 🐢 🐢 🐢 arrived at Elephants house, the elephants wife was cooking. Tortoise perceive the sweet aroma from the kitchen and sneak into the kitchen to check what was cooking. He was about opening the pot when Elephants wife entered the kitchen and saw him. She wanted to shout but tortoise begged that he wanted to check whether the food had burnt because it smelled like burnt food.
The Elephant had conversation at the kitchen and went to see what was going on. When he saw tortoise, tortoise begged that he was really hungry and that he needed to eat something before he dies. The Elephants sympathized with the tortoise and gave him some yam to take home and cook for himself. Tortoise was hungry and he feared that he would did on the way before reaching home to cook the food. The elephant on hearing this asked his wife to serve the tortoise with one slice of the porridge yam so to keep him.
The tortoise eat the food and it tasted really nice, he couldn't resist the temptation of asking for more. The elephant became angry that the tortoise was just asking for more. When the tortoise knew that he wasn't going to have more, he thanked the elephant and left.
