It's August, and I have three events I hope you'll help me celebrate:
First, my family and I weathered Hurricane Beryl that landed about fifty miles from our city. Unlike numerous Gulf Coast residents, we suffered only minor damage to our property. With electricity outages widespread, it was difficult to navigate our daily routines. Extensive damage was caused by fallen trees on homes in which several individuals lost their lives. We are thankful. Please join me in prayer for those families who lost loved ones.
Second, 
Change is inevitable, but I do thank the Community, CTP and specifically the former owner 
As I ventured out to other Communities, I can't help but thank the numerous individuals who assisted me in my newbie Hive journey. A truly benevolent person, 
As of today, I have over 1,000 supporters who Follow me and provide confidence in my work while on my way to 2,134 articles.
I believe in the concept that you get what you give. I have been handsomely rewarded for my time on Hive. In return, I have rewarded other with my support as well, cheerfully spreading 21,400 comments and 39,000 upvotes.
I'm a member of several communities, having served as a Moderator in two of them, The Terminal (
I'm thankful to everyone who played a part in my success, especially 
I didn't want to leave anyone else out. I know you, and you know how important you are to my daily Hive life.
I don't know how much longer I will be able to work on Hive creating mixed media art project and writing short stories, but I'm enjoying my time until then making new friends, engaging, and supporting as much as I'm able.

2024 GOAL: 25,000 Hive Power
I reached my 2024 goal of 25,000 Hive Power earlier than expected last week. My target date was December 31st. I feel I accomplished this awesome feat in eight months due in part to my quality content published on Hive and my participation in the Hive Power Up day. I've been fortunate in that the rewards received I feel exemplify my dedication and hard work on the platform in posting and curation efforts.
Also, when I set a goal, I work diligently toward it until completion. I was taught this as a young adult and never veered unless extremely extenuating circumstances arise.
In that regard, I'm ready to report on my Hive Power Up activity for August 1st Hive Power UP day.
Hive Power
2024 NEW GOAL: 27,500 Hive Power
My remaining 2024 Hive Power goal is now 27,500 HP. For August Hive PUD, I'm powering up 50 liquid that I received from posting rewards, then conducted swap trade of HBD on July 31st.

I'm continuing my tradition since 2019 of powering up my account each month. I usually hold back enough to assist in my efforts to sponsor community projects, including writing challenges and the Saturday Savers Club members' progress reports chosen as the Saver of the Week. It's fun to encourage others in their savings journey.
For 2024, I'm continuing to document my progress each month. That way, I can gauge my work at a glance. I was thoroughly pleased at my July performance of growing my account by 513 Hive Power, the best month I've had this year.

Despite the continued bear market, my account has grown steadily in Hive Power monthly. For the months of June, my rewards were slightly down at 396.291 from the previous five months in which I earned over 400 HP monthly. However, I bounced back and went on to achieve a record rewards month in July.
I continue to power up my account in 2024 to achieve (i) greater voting power on content blogs; (ii) additional curation rewards when you vote on other bloggers' posts; and (iii) additional resource credits to perform transactions on the Hive Blockchain.
If I continue my slow and steady approach, I'll be able to weather the continued bear market. Looking forward to reaching my new HP goal of 27,500 HP.
- maintaining my weekly savings chart goals;
- staying current with my recurring transfer for SPI's Subscription Savings Plan;
- investing in EDSD, the new HBD-backed token for EDS;
- increasing liquidity for the several diesel pools;
- delegating additional hive power and tokens to Communities, individuals, and various curation accounts for passive income in return;
- leasing Hive power to members to generate liquid rewards used to power up; and,
- these activities enable me to continue my participation in
's weekly drawings for the charity it manages.
For June, I can't say that my earnings were disappointing, even though my total HP increase was slightly lower than the previous five months. Compared to May, I saw a decrease of only 26 HP. I owe my small success to publishing quality content daily when possible, my curation efforts, and passive income.
