For those who didn't see my shout out yesterday, apologies for the delay in getting this unofficial list, as well as the final results (which will be posted in 24 hours) compiled. Between the holiday weekend changing up my schedule, some technical difficulties, and just life in general, working on this was a bit more challenging than usual, but after seeing the results this month, I absolutely won't complain!
Now as always, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to this month's Hive Power Up Day, either through powering up, posting, offering prizes, or spreading the word. As I said on 's Feedback from the September 1st Hive Power Up Day post...
While the bear market doesn't seem to want to hibernate away from Hive anytime soon, the Hive community certainly seems to be wide awake and powering up!
Again this month, I saw lots of faces (new and old) in my feeds both on Hive and Twitter, talking about adding to their stack today. I will admit though, I might have been hoping for a bit more of a dip before the first, as I'd saved enough HBD to sell for (I think) my biggest Hive Power Up to date. However I don't doubt a year or two from now, we'll be amazed at the current low price of Hive, and wishing we could still buy it so cheap (and no, not financial advice...lol).
And I definitely wasn't alone - I noticed a few other good sized power ups happening over the course of the day. I don't think we broke any records (don't I say that every month?) but there was lots of excitement and chatter, which is what I always like to see, and is at the heart of what Power Up Day is all about.
As always, a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this Power Up Day by powering up, posting, and/or shouting out on all traditional web 2.0 social media. All of those things help shine a light on the blockchain, which in turn helps to grow our community. Special thanks to
for always BEEing such an incredible buzz-maker for Hive Power Up Day, and for continuing to add to the blockchain fun. And here's to all the Hiveans, new and old, who continue to increase their voting power and influence on the blockchain - congratulations to you all!
Looks like I might have been wrong in a very awesome way! While I don't know for sure yet (I plan to check out the numbers before the final post is done), I think we might have broken the record for the total number of participants this month! Even if it wasn't broken, the number was definitely up there, which is totally...
So to break it all down, we had 114 qualifying entries for the prize pool (compared to 98 in August) with 182 total entries (compared to 157 last month) and 201 posts with either the #HivePUD, #HPUD, and/or #HispanicHPUD tags on the first (last month we had 176).
For the overall number, the power ups ranged from 0.019 to 1333.337 (which was mine, btw...lol) Hive Power for a grand total of...
14,812.729 Hive Powered Up!
By comparison, the total in August was 16,508.582. Granted, that's about a 10% decrease in the total powered up, but we had an almost 16% increase in the amount of participants, an almost 14% increase in the amount of posts, with lots of new faces (not just to Hive, as we seemed to have had a fair number of established accounts popping by for I believe is the first time), which I think is...
The Lists
Here is the UNOFFICIAL winners list for September 1st. If you spot any errors, or your powerup/post was somehow overlooked, please shout out as soon as possible.
And as I said at the top of the post, given the lateness of this one going out, I'll publish the OFFICIAL written-in-stone list in 24 hours, and at that time the sponsors can award their prizes. The complete list is in my somewhat newly combined announcement & welcome to Power Up Day post, and will be included in the official results as well.
Again as always, special thanks to my numbers guy for sending along the raw data for me to use to put this together, even though his life is a bit hectic at the moment as well. You ROCK, Asher! 😊
PLEASE NOTE
This list only includes those who powered up & posted about #HivePUD and/or #HPUD on the 1st, and met the criteria (reputation between 39 and 69 before powering up; Hive Power between 100 and 8000 prior to the 1st), and posted using the tag(s) so they qualify for prizes. I don't assign placement numbers until the official list is posted, and I've added a separate list below this one for those who posted & powered up, but their accounts were either too big/too small in their Hive Power or Reputation to qualify for the usual monthly prize pool.

Participants who don't qualify for prizes
(but qualify as amazeballs because
they participated anyway!❤️
which inspired me in August 2021 to start offering a small but special prize pool for these folks)
Thanks again to everyone for making this #HivePUD monthly event such an amazing success! I'm so proud to be a member of this wicked awesomesauce community!
