So Nicolás Maduro Moros won, right? Another 6 more years in charge of the Presidency of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela .... At least, that is the message that they have been trying to ‘sell’ us for almost 2 days since that moment where the National Electoral Council, through its President, Elvis Amoroso; who has also been a recognized Chavista militant and extreme leftist, who as a result of his nexus with the current rulers of Venezuela, was a puppet to announce the biggest fraud in the political history of Venezuela...
And don't think that I am just another woman who ‘doesn't know what she is saying’, or that she is only ‘influenced by what the “manipulative media” says.... Nothing could be further from the truth than that.... Here, there was a clear, unequivocal, incontestable and undisguisable trend; Venezuela elected on the ballot Edmundo González Urrutia, in coalition with María Corina Machado, leader of the opposition to chavismo/madurismo for the last 25 years... Can you believe that? 25 years of manipulation and a single government!
George Orwell would undoubtedly be immensely shocked if he could be alive and witness what has happened, and is still happening, in Venezuela. His book ‘1984’ has been applied by hand, without a hint of dissimulation or error, to the reality of more than 25 million human beings. It has provoked (the chavistas/maduristas) the biggest exodus of human beings of the whole 21st century... Since the Second World War, there has not been a forced displacement of human beings from one country to dozens of others as forced migrants...
Hunger, misery, insecurity, political persecution, expropriation of property, exile for political reasons and flight from the repressive apparatus of the same government that today (July 30, 2024, 2 days after the electoral fraud carried out by Maduro and his accomplices) pretends to make you accept a reality that only makes ‘sense’ within the twisted mentality of psychopathic, sick and cruel characters whose hands do not tremble to destroy the future of millions.
For years, those of us who have opposed chavismo have denounced that manipulation, deceit and systematised fraud are the everyday tools of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, and therefore, of the government..... But on this occasion, the immense documentation, together with the feelings of the citizens and the clamour to defend the hope for a better future come together to begin to defend the right that we have earned at the ballot box.
Getting Maduro out of power became an electoral reality on Sunday 28 July. In every state of the country, the coalition of opposition parties united and won the votes to the detriment of Maduro and his rotten system of government. As expected, they delayed the results, they sabotaged the possibility of the people to exercise their vote. They intimidated people with their violent paramilitary groups, and even closed polling stations for the reason of trying to stop the avalanche of votes against them that was coming...
If there is something inevitable and undeniable in Venezuela, it is the contempt that these people have for them.... I repeat, 25 years of the same impoverishing system. And nobody has to tell me about it. From 2016 to 2019 I lost weight because of the hunger that guys like this caused in all of Venezuela. Friends, relatives have had to leave with nothing because if they stayed they would die without a future. It is no coincidence that we are the reason for so much controversy in Latin American countries and the world: 8 million migrants in less than 10 years! A shocking figure... And for those who do not live in Venezuela, it is difficult to understand it all.
What you see on your TV, on your mobile phone and on your favourite device about Venezuela is just a small needle in a deep haystack... Arbitrary arrests, forced kidnappings, home invasions, curfews by armed groups in gigantic towns (like the 23rd of January in Caracas), arrest warrants against demonstrators and against the two main opponents of Maduro are the reality, which together with a corrupt, broken country with no quality of life we all have to deal with. I'm not asking you to back me up and sympathise with me, no. But don't come to me and tell me that I'm a victim of the government. But don't come and tell me what the political, social, economic and human reality in Venezuela is like? Here we are resisting and we will defend Freedom until the end. Down with Titania! Glory to the brave people of Venezuela!
