I do believe both of these YouTube links are for the same video.
Well I will start all of this off by saying that every human being deserves chances at life and to have a future no matter what your skin color is or your heritage we all are human beings.
Just because you have a different skin pigment than another person does is one of the lowest and pettiest forms of judgment that human beings perform.
However here in Portland things are a little bit different.
Here you can be violent and still claim how peaceful you are and I have seen a lot of this hypocrisy firsthand and I would hope that it does not continue in the future however I'm not so sure about that after hearing this interview again.
Yep this is actually an old interview however it is highly relevant and still speaks quite a bit to me as well as others.
Only in Portland can you have an individual be discriminated against during the course of being a public servant.
Personally I thought that discrimination at a job site came with Federal level repercussions.
Let alone what happened to the federal level eight crime statute that allows individuals to treat a minority who is working to feed his family with such hate?
Personally I feel that whoever was harassing this officer needs charges and for those charges to be prosecuted by the district attorney.
There are so many of these individuals at these protests who completely abuse people of color.
And on top of it I have personally seen and heard the rhetoric escalate and increase to a point where I am very worried about other human beings.
By all means protest Injustice and protest for change I would definitely support the peaceful protest. I do not support these extremely violent hypocritical and racially charged attacks even if the victim is a police officer they are still a human being and deserve same rights and protections that these protesters are asking for.
All humans matter. All colors matter.
During the 1960s we actually really did have a problem and the law really wasn't set up to allow equality. That was 50-60 years ago.
The human beings of the United States affected a monumental change that had never been done before in the rest of the world and quite possibly our known human history.
And it seems during this time that we currently live in we are going backwards. We are actually regressing and going backwards to the point that we are undoing all of these monumental steps that human beings took to get to the point where we have so many freedoms and rights.
Personally I think that this is being done by design not an accident. Personally it seems like things are just going downhill and such crazy ways.
Personally as a half breed... And yes that is exactly what I am.
I am part European and just under one half native American.
I have firsthand seen racism not only in my own native American community which ironically is highly specific about race and skin color. But because of our traumatic history it also has been very closed and distrustful of white people because of the Indian wars the battles and our removal to reservations.
I have firsthand seen police officers calling my family members drunk useless Indians and who were willing to break the law to arrest my uncle. Oddly enough having a white person there who called them on their actions immediately got quite a different result. Police officer suddenly wanted to leave us alone and allow me to place my intoxicated Uncle into the car which we were looking for.
Ironically state law allows you to drink publicly. And as well be drunk in public. And we weren't doing anything that would be construed as a public disturbance.
So have I seen racism firsthand from police of course I have. Does it need to be changed? Of course it does and I will personally advocate for that change to come in my lifetime.
I however do not consent or condone massive amounts of violence and abuse of the police especially police officers who are of color.
If anyone is using race to be little another ethnic group or two claim superiority of a certain race needs to be addressed immediately and without regard to the individuals skin color.
the easiest way I could explain this is that hate knows no boundary and individuals are getting paid to cause division and violence because it is such a powerful tool it can be misused.
there is no room in our society for individuals like this and actions need to be taken to ensure the safety of our communities and our people.
I absolutely condemn any racial superiority religious superiority or any other means and method that human beings use to cause division among ourselves.
Personally I feel that this world has so much more potential. If we could come together more we could get so much more achieved.
If we were not fighting each other and doing dumb things like fighting over who controls who, everybody could have a home as well as food to eat. We could have a lot more freedom and chance at success if we wasn't constantly fighting and bickering with each other over these super small and insequential details.
There is so much more that we could accomplish as a species if we could set aside our differences.
And on top of it I don't think this is a natural issue and I really don't think that these actions are something that just sprang up.
There is so much money in play here that it is absolutely astounding and proves to me that there are ulterior motives and individuals involved then meets the eye.
I am sitting here working on this article as I wait to get my puppy dog into the vet so I hope you guys are all having a great day and thank you to all the amazing people out there.
If you take the small steps of reconnecting with all of the people around you and showing them support and encouragement we could all start healing our neighborhoods first and then eventually our cities countries and the rest of the world.
The only thing that it would cost is for people to go out of their way to help and positively influence other people. A lot of that is simply just being kind to another person saying a kind word and giving them a hand.
Those blessings are priceless and do not cost a thing. But those things are so amazing that they can change the world with their impact.
If we could all just get a bong.
