Hello Hivers!

There's nothing currently that could made Nigerian Youths happy not even football match. There are series of factors that contributed to their anger. First is the Nigerian Economy, currently Nigerian economy is at deteriorating state. Nigerian currency, Naira is devaluating daily, as today, $1=N415.7572 dollars meaning that N1=$0.0024 Naira. Constant increase in inflation which makes the price of goods and services rise daily. A sachet of water today is sold at N20 naira which is $0.0481 dollars
Secondly is the constant bandits attacks which killed close to million of Nigerians with over a hundred killing daily. Just at Monday, the Bandits attacked Kaduna-Abuja train which killed nearly hundred of people, injured others while some was abducted merely two days after bandits attacked Kaduna's airport which leads to the dead of a security guard.
Thirdly, Nigerian Universities are under serious strikes for over two months due to the lack of Nigerian Government interest in funding their universities Education which caused Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to suspend lecturing for over months now yet Nigerian Government are still reluctant about. On Monday 28 March, 2022, The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and Non-Academic Staff Union of Allied and Educational Institutions (NASU) also embark on a two-week nationwide warning strike. They joined the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over unresolved issues with the Federal Government to cripple both academic and administrative activities in the nation’s public universities. Now tell how youths of such country could be happy.
The attack, destruction and eventually killing at Moshood Abiola National Stadium on Tuesday night, is not really because Nigeria got eliminated from the Qatar 2022 World Cup race by Black Star of Ghana but because of the attitude of Nigerian Government in responding to issues in the country. It is very saddling that pitch invasion by Nigerian angry youth leads to lost of life of a doctor when the angry Nigerian Youths broke through the barricades of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium on Tuesday night after which the match ended 1-1 draw.
The youths knew that the whole world was watching the match so they ceased the opportunity to express the nature of Nigerian situation and the aggressiveness but Unfortunately, it action leads to the killing of a Confederation of Africa Football’s doping doctor, Dr. Joseph Kabungo, a Zambian medical practitioner.
Dr. Joseph Kabungo, lost consciousness after he was trod on repeatedly by the rampaging fans in the stampede. Though the doctor was immediately rushed to the hospital after receiving emergency treatment at the stadium but He couldn't survive. The ugly experience was told to the Zambia Football Association and the government of Zambia of immediate departure of Dr. Joseph Kabungo. Meanwhile, Kabungo was a former goalkeeper who also worked with the Zambia national team as team doctor.
Even when FIFA and CAF will sanction Nigeria for not providing adequate security, the angry sees it as an avenue to showcase or express their feeling concerning currently their country state of affairs both in security and valving human lives which the country failed wholeheartedly.
After playing 0-0 with Ghana on Friday in Kumasi, the Super Eagles hosted the Black Stars in the return match in Abuja in what turned out a lacklustre outing by the Nigerian team. The Black Stars qualified for the 2022 World Cup to be hosted by Qatar on the away goal rule at the expense of the Super Eagles who are individually talented but uninspiring as a team.
The attack set in after which the referee blew the final whistle, irate fans invaded the pitch leading to a breakdown of security at the stadium. It is unclear at this time if the incident is related to the tragedy involving Mr Kabungo.
