The policies of Net Zero, which are all based on fake science and, it seems, a shocking lack of technical expertise, will be implemented at the expense of child and slave labor, which is exploited, particularly in Africa, to get the expensive materials for wind turbines and batteries.
We are instantly faced with a true humanitarian disaster and a crazy hypothesis that will ultimately push Western nations into poverty due to the West's concern with climate.
Politicians who support Net Zero as well as the green energy elites who profit from regulations and subsidies are aware that child and slave labor is used to mine the minerals needed for their technology. They say they care, yet their behavior contradicts that. Just as it is simple to contest the projects' rationality.
Let's try to frame the issue realistically: years of nonstop environmental advocacy and hysterical climate alarmism have created the conditions for the average person and many politicians to believe that we can abandon 80% of our current, affordable, and efficient energy sources and replace them with windmills and solar panels in less than 30 years, while at the same time creating enormous speculations and illusions. Illusions that they are somehow already alive if we consider that turbines and wind farms are already alive today owing to a long chain of covert subsidies rather than the energy produced. Yet, the near future is really much more unsettling: according to the International Energy Organization, wind energy requires more rare earth elements, key metals, and rare minerals per kilowatt-hour of energy generated than any other kind of power generation, renewable or not. Consider that a single wind turbine on land requires up to three tons of copper, cobalt, and magnets compared to the fact that many tons of ore must be extracted in order to obtain only half a kilo of rare earths, and that between 100 and 750 tons of earth must be moved in order to produce the lithium, cobalt, copper, nickel, and other elements needed to produce a battery pack for an electric vehicle. Hence, if thermal plants are to be abolished, you must excavate billions of tons of dirt in order to create the large-scale battery facilities that will provide backup energy when wind and solar cannot.
All accumulators, however, will need to be replaced on average every 10 years because there is currently no known method of properly disposing of them without endangering the environment.
In reality, a significant portion of the energy generated by these systems would be required to maintain the effectiveness of the systems that generated it. But, the majority are too confused, dumb, preoccupied, unable to reason independently, or too complicit with speculators to even begin to truly confront Net Zero's protracted succession of misconceptions and lies.
In the meantime, it will be required to speed up the extraction of the necessary elements, many of which are obtained by child labor in filthy, little mines, as is the case, for instance, in the Congo where the majority of the cobalt is mined. As Western multinational corporations are the only users of this system, the only possible outcome is a rise in the number of child slaves. Yet, retaliation won't take long to arrive since soon Western children will also be subject to a slave system. Even if they are marketed as environmentally friendly, these extravagant and absurd policies prevent economic growth today for those who most need it, but the next day they will prevent it for everyone because continuing down this path is physically impossible, at least given the state of technology today.
