It is one thing to walk around your town together with your friends and family, sharing good times with them and telling jokes about life. It is quite another to walk together with the candidate of your political party and all those supporters who also think that this should be the candidate who represents the people in an institution as important as the mayor's office. This election year marks a point of importance because it is not only the entrance to a new cycle for mayors and governors, but it is the first year where the new democratic alliance will participate in a democratic process that will give us the possibility of a single candidate by the opposition to face the existing political regime in my country #Venezuela.

Una cosa es recorrer tu ciudad juntos a tus amigos y familia, compartiendo buenos momentos con ellos y contando chistes sobre la vida. Otra muy diferente es caminar juntos a el candidato de tu partido político y todos aquellos simpatizantes que también piensas que ese debe ser el candidato que represente al pueblo dentro de una institución tan importante como lo es la alcaldía. Este año electoral que marca un punto de importancia porque no solo es la entrada a un nuevo ciclo para alcaldías y gobernaciones, sino que es el primer año donde la nueva alianza democrática participara en un proceso democrático que nos dará la posibilidad de un candidato único por parte de la oposición para enfrentar de forma electoral al régimen político existente en mi país #Venezuela.

The three candidates who decided to participate in this primary process were Enrique Camero for COPEI, Geraldine Camacho for MAS and Valentin Duran for AD; all parties belonging to the democratic alliance which seeks to draw unique candidates to face next November 21 in the upcoming mayoral and gubernatorial elections. Since days before the beginning of this process, the different political teams prepared their machines so that the event would take place in the best possible way and that the most suitable to be the only representative of the opposition according to the inhabitants of the district would be chosen.

Los tres candidatos que decidieron participar en este proceso primario fueron Enrique Camero por COPEI, Geraldine Camacho por el MAS y Valentín Duran por AD; todos partidos pertenecientes a la alianza democrática la cual busca sacar candidatos únicos para enfrentarse el próximo 21 de noviembre en las próximas elecciones tanto de alcaldía como de gobernación. Desde días antes de comenzar este proceso los diferentes equipos políticos prepararon sus maquinarias para que el evento transcurriera de la mejor forma posible y que el mas apto para ser el representante único de la oposición según los habitantes del distrito fuera escogido.

During the campaign, I worked as one of the photographers inside the campaign while other #Hive users who make life in this party were on the streets alongside the candidate and our team members. It is really something different the ways in which we all see the same situation and here I am going to explain why. While many were on the streets during the electoral process, I was inside the situation room, knowing what was happening in all the centers, I sent the vehicles that were available to transport people from one place to another so they could vote and return to their homes.

Durante la campaña, trabaje como uno de los fotógrafos dentro de la campaña mientras otros usuarios de #Hive que hacen vida en este partido estuvieron en las calles junto al candidato y los miembros de nuestro equipo. Realmente es algo diverso las maneras en las que todos vemos una misma situación y aquí se los voy a explicar del porqué. Mientras muchos estaban en la calle durante el proceso electoral, yo estuve dentro de la sala situacional, sabiendo que ocurría en todos los centros, enviaba los vehículos que estaban disponibles para transportar a las personas de un lugar a otro para que pudieran votar y volver a sus casas.

Before anyone else was sure, we already had an average of how much we could win or lose, we knew how many of our people had been transported or were supporters who arrived by their own means, as the results of the first polling stations began to arrive, we began to put together the pieces of the scheme we already had and we knew we would win, a victory as a result of the work of all those who decided to bet not for one person, but for the continuity of the project that is "Acción Democrática".

Antes de que nadie mas estuviera seguro, nosotros ya teníamos un promedio de con cuanto podríamos ganas o perder, sabíamos cuantos de los nuestros habían sido transportados o son simpatizantes que llegaron por su propio medio, conforme comenzaron a llegar los resultados de los primeros centros electorales, comenzamos a juntar las piezas del esquema que ya teníamos y sabíamos que ganaríamos, una victoria como resultado al trabajo de todos los que decidieron apostar no por una persona, sino por la continuidad del proyecto que es “Acción Democrática”
