This is so pervasive in our societies globally that few question it's legitimacy. People place their faith in authority. They believe in it. They believe in it so much, that they can't even fathom a world without it working out.
This is a religion belief, a cult belief. The whole notion of authority that can dictate to others and punish them for doing things that aren't immoral, or allowing things that are immoral to go on, even sanctioning and supporting them, is based on violence.
That type of thinking is built on the foundation of believing that some have more rights than others, and that they are masters over others. These people can decide what is allowed and what isn't, not based on any principles of morality, but based on their justifications that it's 'right' or 'good' to do so.
Want some examples?
- taxation (supporting immorality)
- cannabis use (criminalizing something that isn't immoral)
The rest of us aren't the master, we're expected to obey. Like slaves, to be obedient tot he rules the masters make up. As if the masters are the moral ones who know what's moral, and the rest of us have an obligation, a moral obligation, to obey the masters.
it's time to cast off our chains of obedience and wake up to the reality of the world we have created. It's time to quit the cult of authority.
