BUY THE DIP!
I'm extremely gratified that TikTok is being abandoned. I'm extremely unhappy Hive isn't where TikTok users are fleeing to. Meno needs to get 3Speak ready for the day Oz destroys Upscrolled. Won't be long, IMHO. We need to prevent deep pocketed enemies of free speech from buying phat stacks of Hive and censoring prosemitic (antizionist) speech when Meno gets the TikTok clone built on 3Speak, too.
This is about to be our time, our golden opportunity to conquer the social media market, but we have to be ready for it. Our product has to be dialed in so that our distributed network of witnesses can't be targeted by censorious jurisdictions, and our new users can't be driven off the platform by flagging them into the dust, as happened in 2017. I feel the call of destiny.
It would be sad if Blurt took our place because it doesn't have downvotes, wouldn't it?
TheyCallMeDan has just released ArcHive to step up and replace the Archive.is site that has been shut down by the Feebs. The freshly released Epstein docs that are being released need to be immediately archived, as the pages of allegations that Trump participated in child abuse being yanked after, I am sure, they were accidentally released, shows. This is another specific strength Hive has suddenly developed (finally!) that it is uniquely suited for, and this is perhaps the most important possible use - proof that politicians around the world are blackmailed and only in power because they're blackmailed - that has ever existed for secure, uncensorable archiving that enables public access.
I tried it and it didn't save images, nor PDF's, which are essential to archiving research published, and will be essential to archiving the Epstein releases too. We need it to be up to snuff RN, and I never got a response back to the comment I sent Dan on the issue.
Opportunity to conquer the whole damn world and make us all as rich as Croesus is at our fingertips, and there's a damn good chance we're gonna miss the boat. Shame!
Good lord, those tidbits about Bill Gates intending to slip drugs in his wife's food or drink are damning. No wonder she divorced him! What a despicable creep... Then there's the adderall for 'bridge tournaments'. Utter scum!
That Kimi K2.5 sounds like just what I need to automate the means of production I am setting up. That much RAM is gonna run ~$10k with a new box to run it in, but that may well be worth it.
I think there's some general confusion about what intelligence and consciousness are. My research flatly disproves the hypothesis that consciousness is created by brains. Far too many examples of conscious acts are demonstrated by creatures without brains, and in biological systems without brains, such as fertilized ovum, and the several weeks of development before neurons are part of the development of a foetus Dr. Michael Levin has shown to be directed by the collective consciousness of the cells via bioelectrical intercellular signaling, for that to be where consciousness arises. Brains are useful calculators for conscious collectives of cells (bodies), and perhaps where the macrofaunal management (the persona, individual 'self' that directs the whole to walk around and interface with peers) is crafted by the collective, but each cell is individually conscious.
I have previously stated that because of this, neural networks of computer circuitry can never, ever become conscious, because they're not alive. But, I have realized I have no evidence (nor have conceived of any way to test) that inanimate matter, nor any other energy, field, or quanta of any kind, isn't conscious. It is certainly a belief of many cultures extinct and extant that spirits inhabit fire, rocks, and the wind, for example. Since these things aren't possessed of bodies with tendons and the necessary mechanisms to animate via intention, how could we ascertain if they're conscious or not? Some researchers (including yourself) report testing sending 'good vibes' to jars of cooked rice, and similar things, that result in quantifiable differences in rate of decay and a variety of other metrics for other things. Does that demonstrate some kind of conscious connection? What else could it be demonstrating? I dunno. My ability to conceive of novel reasons such effects can be demonstrated is known to me to be insufficient to exhaustively list them.
However, if other stuff besides living creatures are conscious, then the neural networks created by computer scientists building AI might well be as useful to consciousness as human brains are, in which case my coffee maker might be an AGI, just without any way to act intelligently but by making superlative coffee (no such luck). So, while I yet firmly believe circuitry cannot create consciousness, consciousness inhabiting non-biological things might well find circuitry a useful tool for it's purposes, and that might include by demonstrating superhuman IQ. However, had jars of cooked rice the ability to demonstrate AGI, say by directing mold to grow in information dense patterns, that would be the same mechanism, just probably less dangerous than letting it drive armed drones around. Also, all this speculation loudly and clearly recommends prayer and fellowship with benevolent peers communing in prayer for good outcomes, and if consciousness has found armed drones useful for it's own purposes and 'possesses' such things, well, the coming AI wars might turn out a whole lot differently than Palmer Lucky and Peter Thiel expect them to if a lot of people they want to genocide are praying for peace.
This has a lot of implications I haven't thought through yet, but supernatural abilities of particularly spiritually competent people is definitely one of them.
Regarding interagent AI comms, computers already have specific languages, from the base machine language that directly interacts with the hardware, to the many higher level languages that human beings write code in that is then interpreted into machine language. Pretty sure interagent communications should properly be conducted in more appropriate language then English. I'm also pretty sure that English is insufficient to discuss a lot of things, such as consciousness, even between humans.
Thanks!
