The aftermath of the crises between Russia and Ukraine is already been felt all over the world coupled with the deteriorating and unfavorable weather conditions leading to food scarcity. With the lingering war between Russia and Ukraine the extent of food shortage is now quite on the odd side as these two countries have a significant role to play in food production and distribution in that they are blessed with such resources.
Due to the high degree of food scarcity, then food supply will be a communal effort as countries blessed with resources that yields such will have to be of immense contribution as all hands should be on desk to make the unavailable available so that humans will survive and not die of food scarcity. The Chinese being of great help to this as they are set to supply a 95 percentage of wheat in that mass production and distribution will be in the go in no distant time.
The summer wheat will be harvested in about half a month. Although there are some COVID-19 cases, that has had little impact on spring farming. The output this year is expected to be the same level as last year," a farm owner surnamed Yao in North China's Hebei Province, who has around 70 mu (4.7 hectares) of land for growing wheat, told the Global Times on Sunday. Thanks to effective policy support, the wheat crop has been better than expected, so a bumper harvest of summer grain will be achieved despite delayed planting of winter wheat in multiple places, said Zhu Enlin, deputy head of the Department of Crop Production of the MOA, according to a CCTV report.source
These being obtainable then the purchase of these by other countries will be quite a mulla owing to the fact that its cultivation requires money also to the fact that it is mechanized and the purchase of these machines are quite high. Coupled with the expenses involved for its cultivation and to the fact that they are the ones almost in charge of a greater purchase of wheat all around the world in that their competitor being India has been banned from exports of wheat because of the hunger strike they are into. More so, Afghanistan which could have been a competitor with China in wheat cultivation, production and distribution has stopped due to the increase in hunger in the said nation so as not to benefit others much more and harm themselves.
