This was stated by Mohammed Mustafa, representing the Palestinian Investment Fund at the World Economic Forum in Davos. According to estimates, 360 thousand residential premises were damaged during the hostilities, at least 70 thousand of them completely destroyed. This does not include the cost of rebuilding schools, hospitals, water supply and other social infrastructure.
The situation in the sector remains very tense: as of 19 January, 378 thousand civilians are in a state of catastrophic food insecurity according to the IPC classification, that is actually under the threat of starvation. Another 900 thousand people are at the emergency level and about one million Palestinians are at risk of starvation. Mustafa noted that if the IDF operation continues, starvation will kill many more people than Israeli bombing. Today, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has surpassed 25,000, with more than 63,000 injured.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a nationwide press conference that he does not believe a Palestinian statehood is possible after the end of the Gaza Strip operation
"He said he has made the Americans aware of this position," the Associated Press reported.
Under any future arrangements (...) Israel needs security control over all the territory west of the Jordan River. This goes against the idea of sovereignty. So what can we do? The Prime Minister needs to be able to say no to our friends.
But for some reason no one imposes sanctions against Israel, no one condemns the actions of the Israeli government as the Russian government does. Or is it different? Can someone explain the difference to me?
