When surfing the web I often stumble across alternative explanations of human history, sometimes even contradicting the standard view that the invention of agriculture is what made us give up on our nomadic and tribal stone age past. Here's a post on the megalithic structures that have puzzled scientists for hundreds of years.

Many of the alternative explanations of our history focus on the megalithic structures found all around the globe, with the most popular being the Pyramids and the Sphinx in Egypt and Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England, two miles west of Amesbury. The question that keeps coming back about these structures is about the available technical and scientific knowledge at the time these structures were supposedly built: according to our current understanding of human history, the pyramids were built using only stone and copper tools. Well, we've tried many times, but granite is just too high up Mohs scale of mineral hardness to be cuttable with copper, with diamond represented as a 10 on the scale, granite as a 7 and copper hovering around 3.5; copper is too soft to cut granite.
It's also a mystery how the stone blocks were transported, often tens or hundreds of miles. Some of them weigh hundreds of tons and we can't imagine how these behemoths were moved, lifted up and placed with surgical precision with only wood, ropes, animals and humans to do the work. Were we assisted by aliens? Or did we use forgotten alchemy involving monatomic gold? Were giants walking the earth? Was it the lost civilization of Atlantis? Anti-gravity using sound-waves? Energy garnered from earth's ley lines? These, and many more theories have been put forward, and I'm not willing to rule out anything in advance and like to keep an open mind about these things.
However, it's best to stay prudent and think critically about these alternative explanations, especially when they involve highly questionable things like alchemy using monatomic, or white powder gold to generate anti-gravity... When the rabbit-hole of alternative explanations reaches the depths of absurdity, it's best to get both feet back on the ground. And what better way to do that than with a perfectly logical, provable and demonstrable explanation of how these super heavy monoliths might have been moved?
Footage of Edward Leedskalnin and his Coral Castle.
I bet most of you have never heard of Edward Leedskalnin. He was an Latvian-American eccentric who built Coral Castle, a structure built with numerous large stones, each weighing several tons and sculpted into a variety of shapes. And he did it all by himself, supposedly. Now, there exist many tall stories around this man, as you can read in the linked Wikipedia article, but there's film of him working on his life's work linked above.
I realize that this old black and white footage might not be convincing, and it's true that Leedskalnin used relatively modern equipment like levers, ratchets and other metal tools. That's not the case with Wally Wallington though. He's a retired construction worker from Lapeer County, Michigan, who has demonstrated methods for a single person to achieve the construction and manipulation of massive monoliths. He even constructed a Stonehenge-like structure from three stones, two of them standing upright with the third laying on top, each weighing more than a ton. And he demonstrates his techniques in the below linked video.
Simple building. Stonehenge Reloaded by only one white man!!!
